Buh bye, Nova Scotia! 👋🏻
My east coast vacation is officially over. And I won’t lie - I am so happy to be home 🏡 🐶
One week and something like 5000 KMs later 🥱 We drove there and back. I missed Ontario so much; it’s funny how you don’t really realize just how good you have it here until you go somewhere else, you know what I mean?!
I feel especially lucky to live in Hastings & PEC… where I have easy access to parks, beaches, wineries, services, culture all within a short drivable distance. Most I can even walk to. I love the proximity and accessibility to so many wonderful places here at home.
It’s one thing I was not prepared for when travelling to the east coast - all of the driving and the hills!! (without exaggeration every 10 seconds was a hill and/or bend/turn), it took a minimum of 50 minutes to get literally anywhere for food, gas, sight seeing, essentials, etc. and 99% of the time we didn’t have cell phone service 🥴
It was all an experience I will never forget 😆
The best and my favourite part of the trip (aside from sightseeing!) - the Rachel and Scott Seafood Tour 🦞 We ate: lobster, clams, oysters, calamari, shrimp, scallops, fish.. Next time, we would like to try: squid and octopus! Ps I am still dreaming about the lobster roll I had at Peggy’s cove 🤤
Anyways, I am really looking forward to getting back to a routine this week and visiting some special folks 😊 Hope everyone is having a wonderful July ☀️
