You may have noticed it’s been a little quieter around here lately and that’s been intentional.

I decided to take a break from social media for the month of July. Sometimes, a pause is exactly what’s needed to reflect, reset, and refocus. I’ve still been here, fully present and supporting clients (always the heart of what I do), but I’ve stepped back from posting while I work on pivoting a few parts of my business behind the scenes.

I appreciate your patience and support as I carve out space for growth, new ideas, and what’s next. Can’t wait to share more with you soon! So for now, we are on a break 😏

Today I turn 43, gratefully! I know too many who aren't here to not be grateful for this life.

And with each year, I gain a little more clarity about what really matters.

Here’s what I’ve learned (and am still learning):
- My peace is just as important as everyone else’s. I don’t have to light myself on fire to keep others warm.

- Water is magic. Drink it. Sit near it. Float in it. It hydrates the body and soothes the soul.

- You can’t make more time—but you can make more money. Spend your time wisely. Give it to what truly matters.

- Who you choose as a spouse is one of the most important decisions you’ll ever make. Especially if you’re raising children. Choose with intention. Peace, respect, and partnership matter far more than looks.

- You can't change people, but you can change how you respond to them. Protect your energy.

- Move in silence. Not everything needs to be shared. Peace loves privacy.

- Don’t be stagnant—go do the things. Get outside. Explore. I highly recommend doing so on two wheels 😍 ...will change your perspective.
Shoot at the range.
Paddle a kayak.
Hop in the car and take the damn road trip.
Just go do the thing.
Life doesn’t wait.

You don’t need to overhaul your life overnight.
You don’t need a perfect plan or 100% motivation.

You need one thing: consistency — in a way that fits your life.
And it could be as small as:
- A short walk instead of skipping movement altogether.
- Drinking water before your coffee.
- Saying one kind thing to yourself in the mirror.

These are small things.
But when you keep showing up — they build momentum.
And momentum? That’s what makes change stick.

If you've been around for a bit here, you know this face well. Yesterday, we said goodbye to my gym buddy, couch companion, and the unofficial mascot of Refire Fitness — our sweet old man, Loki. 🖤

For 11 years, Loki has been a constant presence — in our home, our hearts, and usually sprawled somewhere in or around my workouts. A gentle giant with a soulful gaze, a love of snacks, and a solid commitment to naps.

You’ve probably seen him — half in the frame, passed out mid-zoom, or making a surprise cameo during workouts. He’s been part of the team in the most lovable way. I’ll miss the way he made the gym feel full, warm, and grounded.

Thanks for being part of the Refire story, Loki. Our home and my workouts will never be the same. ♥️

Some days you don’t feel like moving. You’re tired. You’re stressed. You’re in your head. But here’s the truth — even a short walk, a 10-minute stretch, or a dance party in your kitchen can flip the script.

Movement shifts energy. It clears the fog. It lifts the weight (not just the dumbbells). You don’t need a “life-changing” workout. You just need today’s movement.

Refire clients hear it often from me, Adapt and Adjust. It's one method that will always save you on this journey.
When life happens - adjust, don't give up.
Life will mess up the best of plans so you might not get to your workout when or how you thought you would.
But instead of an excuse, adjust!
Pick a new time for your workout, change the style, move it to the next day, make it shorter, etc....if you keep adjusting, you'll always figure it out 🔥!
