Growing a caseload can feel exciting AND overwhelming.

Using a scheduler (or two) helps me turn “mental clutter” into something concrete and manageable, so I know what’s coming, what I need, and where my time actually goes!

If you’re starting a private practice or increasing your caseload, a reliable scheduling system isn’t just about appointments and filling your free time, it’s about sustainability, boundaries, and giving your clients (and yourself) your best ♡

Here is my 2025 In-Review! ✨️I am incredibly grateful for all the support, growth, and connection that 2025 brought. Having started my private practice last May after leaving a group practice that made me feel undervalued and underworked, I'm so proud of myself for taking the leap as a RSSW and venturing out on my own. With my years of experience working in community mental health, it felt fitting to take this pathway now versus years later, and I'm amazed by the level of acceptance and care I have received during my journey. Thank you to everyone I have crossed paths with and to many more connections in 2026.

All stats are based off of manual logging and Jane booking stats.

Now Accepting New Therapy Clients for 2026 ✨

As we move toward the new year, I’m opening limited availability in my private practice for 2026. This is oftentimes a very busy time for therapists, and I’m grateful to be in a position where I can continue growing my practice while supporting new clients in their healing and growth.

I provide trauma-informed therapy for individuals ages 10+. To learn more about who I work with, my approach, and whether we might be a good fit, please visit my website at care-connect.ca (link in bio).

If you’ve been considering therapy in the new year, this may be a gentle time to reach out and secure a spot. Referrals are always welcome!

The holiday season can be tender, overwhelming, or bring up more than expected.

I’ll be offering therapy sessions this week and next week to support those who need a little extra care during this time.

I will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day, but I’m extending availability into Tuesday for added support.

You don’t have to hold everything alone this season. Check my bio to book a session.

This time of year can bring up a lot... people-pleasing urges, complicated family dynamics, heavy emotions, and the pressure to “be okay.”

Here are a few gentle reminders to carry with you:

- I can choose what I have the capacity for today

- My needs matter, even when others don’t understand them

- I don’t have to earn rest or joy

- It’s okay to step back from what feels overwhelming

- I release what isn’t mine to carry

- I can show up as I am, not as who others expect me to be

Use whichever ones speak to you, and leave the rest. Be kind to yourself this season.

November pay transparency stats ✨️

Pay transparency is not often talked about, but I hope this can serve as a helpful tool whether you are just starting out or well into your practice!

November was a busy, difficult, and successful month overall. I hope to keep up this momentum while providing myself space and compassion.

As helpers, we hold stories that shape us. Sometimes, those stories end far sooner than hoped.

Grief in our work can be quiet. private. unseen. by the world, yet deeply felt. Truth be told, I've felt a deep hole in my heart this month, and have struggled with finding a way to commemorate my client meaninfully while respecting the boundaries of our work.

If you’re grieving a client, please know:
- Your connection was real
- Your care mattered
- Your grief is valid

Here are gentle affirmations for helpers navigating loss:

- I honour their story by continuing this work with compassion.

- It's okay if this grief takes time to understand

- I can carry their memory with compassion and boundaries

- Grief can sit beside me without overwhelming me

- My heart can feel this and still remain steady in the work

If you are a therapist, support worker, counsellor, or helper, your heart deserves care. Thank you to my supervisor and colleagues for supporting me during this difficult, confusing time.

You don’t have to hold this alone.

Feeling deeply grateful for the beautiful group who joined me at Paths of Courage on Tuesday night. Together, we explored grounding, safety, and self-compassion through the creation of personal grounding containers.

The honesty, creativity, and presence shared in the space were truly moving. Thank you for showing up, for trusting the process, and for taking this time to care for yourselves.

It’s always an honour to hold space with you ❤️
