Mindset changing journal prompt for this week: “What symbiotic relationships are you in?”
✍🏼
This week take a closer look at your “busy work”. The stuff that has you going this way and that; sending you from one place to another. The work that tires you out. What’s the kickback? Where’s the honey? A bee foraging for nectar is an older, experienced bee. It knows its worth to the hive and embraces its work and its place in the cycle of life. Explore your symbiotic relationships. Are they working? Do they need help to sweeten the pot?
Each week a new prompt will be available to ponder and journal on.

Mindset changing journal prompt for this week: “What are you blooming for?”
It’s not exactly true that ‘A flower doesn’t compete with the flower next to it. It just blooms’. It blooms with purpose: to sustain itself, to carry on its strength as an offering to the next generation. To flourish, we need purpose - not simply to bloom for the sake of appearances.
✍🏼
I’ll be clear here, “blooming” is growing. Blooming is healing. Blooming is exploring all those parts of you that you’d really rather just NOT. In the “blooming”, we have to find purpose to do so. We can’t simply heal our wounds because the guy next to us did. We need to dig deep and find purpose to become something other, something new, something for our future to flourish out of, not struggle through. Nature teaches us resilience by its example. Follow it whenever you can.
Each week a new prompt will be available to ponder and journal on.

Mindset changing journal prompt for this week: “What warm summer memory are you taking into the cooler Autumn days like a warmed stone in your pocket?”
✍🏼
It’s hot. It’s so very hot. Sooner than we wish to admit, it will be chilly again. The bite of cold will make you bow your head into the wind and pull your coat about your neck. For now though, grab onto this moment of warmth and community before we separate again to hibernate. What moment in your August days can you hold like a warmed stone put into your pocket, keeping you cozy and grateful for your life?
Each week a new prompt will be available to ponder and journal on.

Mindset changing journal prompt for this week: “Drifting”
✍🏼
. The meditative state we can often find ourselves in by the water is one of the best natural stress relievers. We forget the worry and hustle of the demands in our life. The unrest. The pressure. The never ending lists. We have to return though. It’s a temporary relief. A healthy one. And maybe a productive one if we allow ourselves to rest enough that the jumble in our head figures itself out while we drift. There are other activities, other than being near the water, that can produce this effect. Do you have that relief somewhere, sometime, somehow, in your day? I encourage you to find it. Maybe it’s a body of water out in nature but maybe it’s something else. Find it.
Each week a new prompt will be available to ponder and journal on.

Mindset changing journal prompt for this week: “Are your daily thoughts and actions the building blocks to a grounded life, or are they vulnerable to the next passing storm?”
✍🏼
A fixed mindset is one that’s built on precarious footing, on limiting beliefs that hold us back from building a life of growth and change. A growth mindset is able to develop strong roots; knowing you are not perfect and there is always room to grow. This mindset stands against the storms life can throw at you because you’re solid in who you are. You trust your instincts.
Your daily thoughts and actions are building your tomorrow. Are they built around a or a

A new survey is here - and your story matters. The Nova Scotia Mental Wellness Survey is inviting residents to share experiences with mental health, substance use and gambling. Your insights will help shape policies, services and support systems that truly reflect our communities' needs.

Led by Cape Breton University’s (CBU) Sam Hodder and powered by a partnership between Nova Scotia Health, CBU and the Office of Addictions and Mental Health, this research is about building a healthier, more resilient province.

The insights we gain will help inform programs, policies, and services that reflect the real lives of our communities.”

"As urban populations climb, quantifying how much greenery keeps minds stable could shape zoning codes as powerfully as traffic engineering ever did."
🌳 Let's hope so.

A quick read looking at NatureScore impacts.

People living in areas surrounded by nature and greenspaces have dramatically lower rates of most mental health maladies.
