Our around the clock service alternatives are designed for people who choose to live independently. If services of a designated health care professional are required such as a Continuing Care Assistant, one can be assigned. These services may include medication reminders, catheter care and Alzheimer’s care. Depending on the need, Today’s Nurse will expand to include Registered Nurses and License Practical Nurses. Today’s Nurse is operated and run by Sherri Smith BN, RN, CPN. Native of Colchester County Nova Scotia, Sherri obtained a degree in nursing at the University of Calgary in 2002. After graduating, Sherri returned home to work in Truro, where she gained substantial experience in bedside nursing. In 2005 she returned to the classroom to obtain the education needed to work as a peri-operative nurse and has since received certification credentials for the operating room. Sherri has a passion for helping people and making health care accessible to all those in need while maintaining their dignity and independence.
