An Indian head massage is not just for relaxation, it is a therapeutic massage based on the science of Ayurveda. Its purpose is to provide deep stress and anxiety relief; help with sleep and headaches; help relieve built-up tension in the upper body area (shoulders and neck), balance energy (as defined in Ayurveda).

The massage is purposeful, rhythmic movements, combined with acupressure (marma points) - a holistic therapy, not just a massage.
