The online First Aid for Dogs and Cats course teaches you how to respond to common emergencies involving cats and dogs. Enroll now to protect your furry friends with confidence.

What will you learn?
• How to handle common dog and cat emergencies confidently.
• Skills to perform dog first aid and cat first aid
• Learn to identify normal vital signs and perform CPR for dogs and cats
• Learn how to manage wounds, respond to seizures, and support overall dog and cat health and well-being.

Who should take the First Aid for Dogs and Cats course?
• Pet owners and anyone interested in becoming a dog sitter or a cat sitter.
• Anyone 13 years of age and older. This course has no prerequisites.

Canadian Red Cross Online-Based Learning
• Self-directed: Learn at your own pace by working through the training materials online.
• Duration: Approximately 1 hour online.

The Red Cross is offering free First Aid for Opioid Poisoning Emergencies courses. It is about 40 min through their online portal and you receive your own Naloxone kit after completing the course. Red Cross Babysitters Course 9 - 4 Saturday December 3rd - Turner Valley
Students must be 11 years old or have a Birthday before February 28th ish.
Red Cross Stay Safe Course 9 - 2 Sunday December 4th - Turner Valley
Students must be 9 years old or have a Birthday before February 28th ish. (Designed for Grade 4 students or those who are 9 and in Grade 3).

Cost: Course is $65.
Black Diamond Residents/Students: Thank you to our wonderful town for providing this course at a lowered cost to students. Black Diamond students (CIM and Oilfields) will pay $30 - The Town of Black Diamond will subsidize the remainder.This will be the last (dependant on council for the new town) subsidized course from the Town.
