So it’s been a busy few weeks that I haven’t had a chance to announce who my new reception is. Some of you have seen this friendly face sitting at the desk when you come in. She has been a huge lifesaver for me. I’m so glad I finally decided to hire someone. She has lightened some of my work load as well as stress load. Welcome to What The Float Alyssa Weber. She will be im the office from Tuesday to Friday, 10-4 and 3 on every other Friday

Now with that being said, yes she has lightened my work and stress load, but I need to lighten it more. Before I completely burn myself out. I will not be working into the evenings as late anymore. Thursday nights will be more focussed on float clients and there won’t be as many Saturdays for a while. I hope you all understand. I love my job, I love my clients, but I can’t keep going like I have been without burning out. Right now myself and my family are going to be top priority. So when I say I don’t have any openings for massage, please understand I’m setting my priorities right now. If I don’t do this, I will not be of any good to any of you. I will also not be taking any new massage clients at the moment. I need to catch up with the ones I have. By all means, floats can help with stress and sore muscles as well so we can always have you do a float.

Anyone who has an appt already booked with me that is new, don’t worry, you will still have your appt 😜

Hey, it’s me again, Nora. Yes I’m back at work, yes I have a receptionist, yes I am crazy busy and YES, I am trying my best to get back to everyone that I had to cancel last week. It does take time, so please be patient with me while I try to find the time to reschedule everyone.

Also, a friendly reminder to people, not just my clients, if you are not feeling well, reach out and ask if we as small business owners are ok still working with you. We cannot afford to get sick. I was feeling better, then I have had a few come in this week with colds, and I am getting knocked down again. I have no problem wearing a mask myself, but if I don’t know you are sick before, then it’s too late for me. So please, mention to me if you are sick, most times I’m ok with it and will just wear a mask to protect myself so I can keep working.

Thanks 😊😊

So great news, I’m feeling better and should be back to work next week. Thank you for everyone’s kind words, helps make the guilt not be as bad. 🥰 I will be contacting everyone who I had to cancel last week to reschedule your appts.

I’m in Edmonton this weekend taking my Upper Body Rapid NFR. When I get back I will have both my upper and lower body Rapid. It’s an amazing technique to help with acute pain and chronic pain.

Also, EXCITING news!!! For anyone who has been frustrated with trying to contact me at the office, whether it be by phone, stopping in or FB, or even me not having time to return text messages, I have exciting news!!! Starting Tuesday Sept 23/25 I will have a receptionist who is going to be part time, but she can answer calls, book appts and help you with gift certificates. This also means there will be a lot more available times to book floats. I will still be the one to explain floating to you and answer all your questions. I finally realized I can’t do it all, and I’m trying to, I have been wearing myself down. She will be given tome slots to book people in, if you need in sooner for an issue, she will take your name and number and I will see if I can get you in sometime outside of the times I give her. I’m trying not to burn myself out as that makes me no good for my family or for you 😁

As a business owner, I hate taking time off, especially sick time. I feel like I am letting people down, but not just that, it’s hard taking time off. When I am not there, the business is losing money. Power and heat, yes heat in the summer for the float tanks, is still being used. So when my body tells me to slow down for months, and I don’t listen, it knocks me down. This is the week it has decided to knock me down. I feel horrible, not only due to this cold, but for having to cancel so many appts. The people who were looking forward to their treatments this week, will now have to wait to get booked back in. I will do my best to get them in asap, but that also means over working many days just to catch up.

So yeah, as a business owner, I feel guilty taking care of myself, but I have no choice this time.

Taking a little time off 😊

Drained & Spent

Despite several studies showing non-call-based (organizational) events as a significant source of our stress, we still seem to only focus on call-based (occupational) events when we speak about PTSD/PTSI/OSI, etc. What happens around us, both in our organizational and home environments, can be what really sinks us or makes us thrive. Balancing our call-based traumatic experiences with pressures from home, work politics and our peers can be a real struggle at times.

The medic in this image is drained and spent; he's indifferent to his feelings as a means to escape, and has lost the capacity to manage and help himself. He's at his edge and just wants all his stressors to end. We don't know what's banging around in the heads of others because most first responders are good at hiding their tension. It's never wrong to just be nice; it may make all the difference in the world to someone.

Stay safe everyone,
DanSun

Check out RAPID NFR. I have my lower body. It’s kinda spicy, no it’s definitely spicy, but it works and you can feel the difference almost immediately. Of course, some areas and cases are more stubborn.

Every movement, every healing process, every signal your body sends…
is a conversation between cells.

But when pain, trauma, or stress interfere, the signals get scrambled.

That’s where RAPID NeuroFascial Reset steps in.

By targeting the neurological system, RAPID helps:
🔹 Disrupt faulty patterns
🔹 Reboot proper nerve signaling
🔹 Reduce inflammation and compensation
🔹 Reconnect brain and body — fast

Pain is often not the problem… it’s the miscommunication.

RAPID can help the body speak clearly again.
