UNESCO in 2019 inscribed traditional Thai massage, known as Nuad Thai in Thailand, on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Thai massage is regarded as part of the art, science and culture of traditional Thai healthcare. As a non-medicinal remedy and manual therapy, the practitioner helps rebalance the client’s body, energy and structure to promote wellness and treat illnesses believed to be caused by the obstruction of energy flow along sen energy lines that crisscross the human body. This manipulation is intended to normalize the four body elements: earth, water, wind and fire.

Looking for a new experience? I am pleased to be offering thai yoga massage again. Gift certificates available. Thai yoga massage was and is still practiced by Buddhist monks in Thailand. This beautiful energy healing and relaxing modality is based on metta, lovng kindness, and is practiced on a mat on the floor. The client is fully clothed, and the practitioner does a tai chi dance as he/she works energy lines, moves the person into yoga-like positions, and massages the body using hands, feet, elbows, and forearms. It is truly a beautiful and unique modality!
