"Boys’ and men’s ill mental health represents a significant burden across Canada and improving boys’ and men’s mental health (and everyone else’s by extension) requires an emphasis on the social determinants of health.

This means viewing health behaviours and outcomes as deeply linked with ‘social’ issues like: education; income and employment security; affordable and stable housing; food security; social inclusion; and access to quality health care."
