It’s been a while, so here’s a lil “about me” for all the new people around here 🫶🏽

I truly believe we are shaped by our experiences. And I too, use my own personal experiences to provide the best care, and compassion to my patients 💓

I truly believe I am on the right path, and in the right place, and that is the best feeling, for which I am forever grateful ❤️

In today’s world we have the choice to pick our providers. We have the ability to pick someone who makes us feel comfortable, heard, whose style aligns with our goals and needs, and whose approach we align with.

The first step is being mindful of this ✨ and reflecting on what your preferences are.

This will help you understand who’s a good fit for you, which is key in your health journey and progress/growth! 💪🏽

For example, some people love how empowered they feel when being educated on their health concerns. Some just want to get better and don’t care and mind not knowing.

Some love the tiered step wise approach, so we can see the effects of each step individually and build onto our plan without it feeling overwhelming. Some just want to try everything at once, to feel better as soon as they can.

Some find it weird to talk about stress and emotions, whereas some see the value in that and how it impacts our health!

In between all the health talk and professionalism in visits, I love being able to have light hearted conversations about other factors in their life. But some people prefer straight business and don’t care to converse or share further.

In this case we began with:

We love wellness, but we also love and advocate for balance. For realness. For giving into some guilty pleasures once in a while.

It’s all a part of the beauty of life. It’s what makes life exciting, and enjoyable. What makes you happy.

No one is perfect. Things can seem one way from the outside, we might think they have the most perfect life, and most discipline. But in reality it can be entirely something else.

Let’s be mindful ✨ of this and be kinder to ourselves 🫶🏽

Your year may have looked different, and that’s okay.

Life happens, and we have to face different obstacles during different chapters of our lives.

Instagram and social media have us in awe (or have us feeling not good enough) when comparing one’s highlight reels to another.

Life is so much more than that cool flashy thing you have, got or did.

Yes those are great too, but what was really happening and going on underneath and between it all.

Wanted to share some vulnerable thoughts because that’s what we love to do, because you are not alone in it and I have always said I want to be real on here 💓🫶🏽

May 2025 be full of all the love, happiness, healing and growth ✨❤️

Although in the medical sense, burnout is not a “true” diagnosis, it does not mean symptoms of it do not exist, and what you’re experiencing is not valid.

If anything this is what makes it harder to be recognized medically, and leaves so many patients feeling unheard, lost and at a loss of options.

The exhaustion you face is real, the tiredness, and feelings of stress and anxiety is real. The tenseness, wanting to isolate, disconnect and the lack of motivation is real. The mental exhaustion, brain dog, sleep issues, poor focus and memory, is real. Feeling unhappy and unfulfilled, is real.

It is important to recognize these and address them.

As humans we can become depleted when we are living at high levels of stress for long periods of time. Naturally our body and cortisol levels need time to recover via rest and repair.

If we do not get this, our body and mind feels the effects. And long term this can make it harder to treat.

Note that technically “more rest” can help, but it is way more nuanced than that, especially if you have been under high levels of prolonged stress for many months or years.

I have a burnout protocol I use with all patients presenting with fatigue. This way we rule out other causes at play, test cortisol and deficiencies, then get started on addressing all the factors impacting your energy and health - one step at a time.

If you’re feeling tired, but are being told “everything is normal”, it might be time to seek help elsewhere.

And remember, there ARE options to help improve energy, and balance stress and cortisol!
