We’re kicking off 2026 with connection, conversation, and a little fun!

Join us, Thursday, January 15th, at The Nest at Honkers Pub from 5:30–7:30 pm for our first SAWIB event of 2026!

We’ll enjoy food and drinks, cover a short AGM, and then spend the rest of the evening speed dating with other women in business. It’s the perfect way to start the year with new connections and fresh momentum.

We’re also looking to welcome one or two new board members this year, so if you’ve ever been curious about getting more involved, this is a great place to start. Feel free to connect with us if you have any questions!!

Market cancelled 😢

Unfortunately due to weather, cancellations, and expectation of low patronage due to weather, we have decided to cancel the SAWIB market.

Please note that if you are a registered, non-member vendor and paid for your table, we will issue prompt refunds. We will also be extending the opportunity for early bird membership pricing and hope you’d still love to join us for our 2026 season.

Apologies, and thank you so much for your understanding this tough call.

Our SAWIB Market is happening this Friday, November 28, and we can’t wait to see you there.

Come shop local, meet amazing women in business, and enjoy an evening of connection and community. Doors are open from 4 to 8 pm at Paramount Boutiques and everyone is welcome.

We are still accepting a few more vendors to fill the last remaining spots, so if you’ve been thinking about joining us, reach out right away.

Our SAWIB Market is coming up next week, and we’re so excited to bring together an incredible mix of local women-owned businesses for an evening of shopping, connection, and community.

The market is open to the public, and everyone is welcome to come explore, support local, and kick off their holiday shopping with us. Admission $5.

If you’re a vendor and have been thinking about joining us, there are still a few spots available. Product based, service based, event based, and education based businesses are all welcome. Send us a message or reach out through our website if you’d like more information or want to set up a table before spaces are gone.

Last night was our very first Winter Ball, and we are still buzzing from the energy in the room. It was our biggest SAWIB turnout yet, and the entire evening at Anton’s Restaurant in the Sandman Signature Lodge felt like such a celebration of the women in our community.

Prime Catering delivered an incredible meal, the service was wonderful, and the room was filled with conversation, laughter, and genuine connection all night long. A huge thank you to Jenny for being our speaker and sharing her insights on boundaries in such an honest, entertaining, and relatable way. She brought so much clarity and fire to the evening.

Thank you to everyone who attended, invited friends, and took the time to explore what Southern Alberta Women in Business is all about. The board is truly grateful for the turnout and how the entire evening came together. It was everything we hoped it would be and more.

Meet our September Event Speakers:
Megan & Erin O’Toole
Financial Advisor | Performance Therapist | Coaches

Megan and Erin O’Toole are a powerhouse couple whose lives and careers have been shaped by a lifelong passion for sport; especially the game of hockey. Both elite athletes turned coaches, they’ve spent decades on the ice, not only chasing their own goals but also shaping the next generation of women leaders in sport and in life.

Co-head coaching together, they have built a hockey program grounded in resilience, leadership, and the belief that sport is one of the greatest classrooms for life. Their shared vision is clear: develop confident, capable women who lead with integrity, both on and off the ice.

Professionally, Megan is a Financial Advisor with IG Wealth Management, guiding clients toward building strong, secure financial futures with the same discipline and strategy she honed as an athlete. Erin is a Performance Therapist & Coach, specializing in mindset, leadership, and resilience for athletes, business owners, and high performers, helping clients reach their potential through intentional mental and emotional performance work.

Sport has been their compass; teaching them discipline, teamwork, and grit; and continues to drive them in their careers, their coaching, and their life together. Whether in the boardroom, the therapy room, or the dressing room, Megan and Erin lead with the lessons the game has given them: preparation matters, character counts, and success is built together.
