🧡 🪶 Truth & Reconciliation Day means different things for different people. For me , it has been listening, learning and becoming a good ally in a supportive role

"Teaching people how to regulate their emotions is crime prevention. It’s addiction prevention.
It’s su***de prevention. It’s generational healing. It’s how we stop raising adults who explode, implode, or shut down at the first sign of discomfort. Emotional regulation is not just a soft skill. It’s survival. It’s the foundation of a society where people can disagree without dehumanizing each other, where accountability isn’t seen as an attack, and where conflict doesn’t always have to mean violence. You want a better world? Start with emotional education."

As summer winds down, we prepare our bodies to enter a new season. Our bodies instinctively sense this transition, some more than others. You may be feeling a shift: some are excited for what’s to come, while others are bracing themselves.

With all this excitement and anticipation, our bodies modify our expressions and behaviors automatically through our nervous system. Even excitement can lead to overwhelm; take, for example, children returning to school. There is excitement, but likely a lot more meltdowns, because the body utilizes the same sympathetic system to prepare for something thrilling as it does for stress. Have you ever been so excited about something, only to fall apart amidst the chaos? It all makes neurobiological sense — we engage the same system for both.

So, I encourage everyone to embrace rather than brace. Gently flow and slow down the pace. Welcome this new season with the help of nature, which offers new colors, scents, and landscapes. Nature is here to support you.

If you find it difficult to slow down and embrace change, or if you are experiencing resistance to the inevitable shifts, I’m here to help.

Dear Facebook,

I’m feeling curious and would love to hear your thoughts!

I will soon be launching new social media content on YouTube and TikTok, focusing on education and information about various modalities I practice. This will include demos and psychoeducation, particularly on Somatic Experiencing®️, which is relatively new to this region.

My goal is to provide the best of both worlds by helping clients better understand the effects and manifestations of trauma, emphasizing how “the body keeps the score.” This approach will allow me to expand my reach and refer clients to my content while keeping treatment times aligned.

I have a great passion for sharing valuable information and am excited to discuss what has helped me and many others. Additionally, I’m creating a blog to share more about my own journey.

For now, I would love to know what curiosities you have about healing trauma, managing chronic stress, or the type of content related to healing that you would like to see from me.

Please drop your questions below or inbox me, and I will address them in a video in the next few days!
