If your baby seems extra fussy or uncomfortable, and you notice red, irritated skin on their bottom, it could be a case of diaper rash. This common skin issue is particularly prevalent during the summer months when warm temperatures, damp skin and chafing can result in inflamed patches.

Stop by the pharmacy to pick up the essentials you’ll need, from diaper cream to gentle baby wash.

Diaper rash usually clears up within about five days, but if it’s not going away, or you notice any broken skin, ask the pharmacist if it’s time to see your doctor.
