Practice during menstruation to lengthen short cycles
Postpartum menstrual irregularities are common as hormone levels adjust after pregnancy and childbirth, often leading to irregular periods. Breastfeeding can extend the duration of irregular or missed periods.
This sequence is taken from Lois Steinberg’s “Women’s Yoga Practice”. It is designed to be practiced during menstruation to lengthen short cycles, when periods occur every 26 days or less.

This year, on the occasion of International Day of Yoga, I'll offer a free beginner class in Farsi for those who need to relieve emotional and mental pressure for one hour during this time of aggressions.
امسال به مناسبت روز جهانی یوگا و همچنین برای همدلی با یکدیگر، دور هم جمع می شیم تا با هم یوگا کنیم تا شاید کمکی باشه درمواجهه با اتفاقات ناگواری که در حال رخ دادن هست.
کلاس یوگای مبتدی و رایگان به فارسی (حضوری و آنلاین)

این کلاس با در نظر گرفتن مشکلات فیزیکی عمومی درس داده می شه. اگر مشکل خاص فیزیکی دارین این جلسه براتون مناسب نیست.

This foundation beginner class is based on the beginner program of the main Iyengar yoga institute in Pune, India, RIMYI. It therefore requires a commitment of one academic year (approx. 11 months) to learn all Level 1 postures systematically and from the ground up. This class is suitable for anyone wishing to start practising yoga, as well as experienced practitioners, new teachers or trainees.

This beginner foundation class is suitable for anyone who wants to begin practicing yoga, as well as those who participated in the foundation class last year but they want to attend the program for another year. Experienced practitioners, new teachers or trainees who wish to observe a foundation class are also welcomed.
The new beginner class is offered both in person and online. It is offered in English every Saturday at 9:15 and the first session begins on May 31. I highly recommend making a one-year commitment to this class if that is possible for you. Registration is open now!

کلاسهای مبتدی پایه ای برای کسای که مایلند یوگا رو از ابتدا شروع کنند، شاگردان باتجربه تری که مایلند یوگا رو به طور پایه ای تمرین کنند و همچنین برای معلمها و کمک مربیانی که می خواهند کلاس مبتدی منطبق بر روال کار موسسه اصلی یوگای آینگار در هند رو مشاهده کنند مناسب هست.
دوره جدید کلاس مبتدی سه شنبه ها (ساعت ۱۸-۱۹ ) از ۱۰ خرداد شروع میشه و برای این کلاسها یک تعهد تقریبا ۱ ساله پیشنهاد میشه.

Last year I added a new online beginner class - in Farsi - to our schedule, with the intention of offering a one-year comprehensive beginner program to the practitioners. Now, ten months into our program, participants have practiced almost all Level I poses, and during a weekend workshop in Tehran they could practice all these asanas in an in-person session.
Thanks to everyone who attended the workshop, especially those who committed to our one-year beginner program.
سال گذشته کلاسهای یوگای آنلاین مبتدی رو به زبان فارسی و از صفر و به طور پایه ای شروع کردیم. این کلاس همون طور که در موسسه اصلی یوگای آینگار هند با تعهد ۱ سال آکادمیک (حدودا ۱۰تا ۱۱ ) درس داده میشه به شاگردان منتقل شده. الان که در ماه دهم هستیم تقریبا تمام آساناهای سطح ۱ آموزش داده شده و مشغول جمع بندی این آساناها با هم هستیم.
به منظور دوره آساناهای آموزش داده شده در سال گذشته ، یه کارگاه حضوری در تهران برگزار شد که می خواستم از کسایی که شرکت کردن و به خصوص کسایی . که با پشتکار کلاسهای هفتگی رو در سال گذشته دنبال کردن تشکر کنم.

sequence No. 6
This series of sequences was designed during the Covid lockdown in March 2020 to encourage self-practice in the absence of in-person classes. Each Saturday, I shared one practice sequence for seven days before I posted the next one. The intention was to encourage fellow practitioners to continue their practice and stay inspired despite the social isolation. Shortly after, I set up live Zoom online classes, and some beginner practitioners joined the class. Five years have passed, and that beginner class has now become an intermediate level with a group of solid practitioners.
It's admirable that most of them now build their own sequences and continue to deepen their self-practice at home. This prompted me to share these sequences once again with a word of encouragement for our community to begin their self-practice if they haven't done that already. Let self-practice remain fundamental in our yoga practice even when we have access to online or in-person classes.
And I thank my dearest Shahab Mi Do who demonstrated the asanas.

My Name is Nasim, and I am a certified Iyengar yoga teacher at the Junior Intermediate II level. Iyengar yoga is a method of Hatha yoga which is characterized by great attention to details and precise focus on body-mind alignment. In this method of yoga, by using a few simple props, students with different capabilities can gradually build up strength, confidence and flexibility without the threat of strain or injury.
I began my training with Mahyar Raz in Tehran and have been teaching Iyengar yoga since 2010. In 2014 I moved to Canada and dedicated the next two proceeding years to study with several senior teachers in North America. Among them Donna Fornelli, Louie Ettling and Tim Ruddy largely have influenced me. In 2017 I received my Junior Intermediate I certification from Iyengar Yoga association of Canada (IYAC). In 2018 and 2019 I directly studied with Iyengar family in Pune, India, and later in 2019 I received my Junior Intermediate II ceritification from IYAC. Currently residing in Montreal, I am working towards my Junior Intermediate III certification.
Accessibility and simplicity through precise instructions have been my goal in teaching. I am eager to bring yoga to people regardless of age, gender or physical conditions; therefore, I actively commit to support my students to shape a constructive relationship with their body and mind.
