Resident Attendant
Job description:
The Resident Attendant shall provide personal care and other services to residents in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Home.
Schedule:
Morning: 6:30am -2:30 pm (8-hour shift)
Evening: 2;30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (8-hour shift)
Night: 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. (8-hour shift)
Weekend availability.
Ability to commute/relocate:
1333 Rideau Ferry Rd, Perth, ON K7H 3C7 : reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred).
Must have Canadian Work Permit.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides services and interacts with residents and resident family members in a professional manner.
Complete schedule care services required from the resident and document the completion of the assistance and care provided.
Participates as a member of the care team and provides support to the other members of the Services team; assist with feeding, toileting and ambulating residents.
Provide bedtime routine care.
Completes the food preparation for service the next day.
Observes and adheres to all policies and procedures, work standards and safety regulations.
Assists and attends to the care needs of the residents as required.
Maintains work and storage areas in a clean, safe and sanitary manner.
Aware of employees and supervisor’s responsibilities and follows all health and safety policies and procedures.
Works safely to reduce the risk of injury to self, co-workers, and residents.
Is alert to, remedies, and promptly reports all actual or potentially hazardous situations.
Wears personal protective equipment (or clothing) as required by the task, MSDS, or home policy.
Other related duties as assigned, such as keeping resident rooms clean and tidy, folding their clothes, taking their temperature and weight.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 44 per week
