The Dahlias are coming! The Dahlias are coming! This is the first major harvest of 2025 and most of these beauties are destined for my Mom's 94th Birthday dinner, where we are heading now. Summer officially begins for Henk and I when all our hard work with our favorite flower begins to return the love with zillions of beautiful blooms. We are sooo grateful!

THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by the Duncan Market yesterday to visit the Botanical Bliss booth! You kept us hopping and wore us out completely! Henk and I are so grateful for all your support and for making my semi-retirement business model work for us all. The webstore at www.botanicalbliss.ca is open until Sunday July 13 pm, for orders to ship, be picked up or locally delivered in the Cowichan Valley area.

My two most popular soaps, Hope and Shampoo bar, are drying, Itchin Stix and Bliss Mist are fresh made and ready for summer's little annoyances, Itchin ointment is done, and REPAIR and Fire Cider are on the way. Wild Hip Face Cream will be made fresh Wed.

Happy Summer Solstice Everyone! Hoping your plants and hearts are growing and glowing as we celebrate the triumph of light over darkness. The solstice encourages us to embrace our own radiance, align with the transformative power of the sun, and embark on a journey of self-discovery and spiritual awakening.

Hey Dahlia Fans! Today, 9-2 at the Cobble Hill Hall, the Mill Bay Garden Club hosts its Annual Flower and Garden Show. I will be there to help them sell dahlias for the BEST PRICE you will ever pay for a potted dahlia! They are in pots and ready to be planted - some of my dahlias for sale are pictured here and there are LOTS more. All proceeds to the club and local charities.

Yesterday the Dahlias travelled to their summer home, where they will bask in sunshine til October. Wanda and I worked til we fell over and Henk planted leeks and beans....'tis that time of year. In light of a potential Canada Post service disruption starting May 22, I will open the Botanical Bliss Webstore from May 9-17, 2025 for MAIL ORDERS ONLY. The webstore will be open July 1 as always, but if there is a strike, I wont be able to mail you anything, so please considering ordering now. If you are local( ie. do not receive your Bliss by mail) just ignore this notification. I will get you your products July 1. I am only offering this Special Opening because of a potential strike for MAIL ORDERS ONLY. Check the website at www.botanicalbliss.ca starting next Friday. I will also send an email teminder to all of you in my database.Thanks!!

Today was a big Face Cream making day and that means a couple of big orders are on their way to two of my favorite retail stores. Naked Naturals in Parksville and Edible Island in Courtenay will be restocked when these boxes arrive. I will replenish the Community Farm Store in Duncan this week too. ENJOY your cream!

The intoxicating perfume of spring has arrived! Dirt, decay, daffodils, hyacinths and in our citrus greenhouse, Jasmine. I bought this plant from Cdn Tire last spring - it was 2' tall and produced 3 flowers. This year, its 12 ' tall and you can smell its sweet scented brilliant blossoms from 20 feet away. I wish you could scratch and sniff these shots - there is no smell as strong from such a delicate flower.
