🥬Chickpeas and Tomatoes Salad🍅

A healthy salad with chickpeas and tomatoes and parsley can be made by combining a can of chickpeas, diced tomatoes, chopped parsley, and your choice of dressing. You can also add other vegetables, such as cucumber or bell peppers, to add more color and flavor to the salad. Some fresh herbs, such as mint or basil, can also be added for an extra burst of flavor. To make the salad even more satisfying, you can add some cooked quinoa or farro to make it a complete mealtzttcdztdd day. Simply toss everything together in a large bowl and serve. Enjoy!

* 1 can of chickpeas
* 1 cup of diced tomatoes
* 1/4 cup of chopped parsley
* 1/4 cup of chopped fresh herbs (optional)
* 1/2 cup of cooked quinoa or farro (optional)
* Your choice of dressing

Instructions:
1. Drain and rinse the chickpeas.
2. In a large bowl, combine the chickpeas, tomatoes, parsley, and fresh herbs (if using).
3. Add the cooked quinoa or farro (if using) and toss to combine.
4. Drizzle with your desired dressing and toss to coat evenly.
5. Serve the salad and enjoy!

Southwest Veggie Quesadillas

Southwest veggies quesadillas loaded with bean, corn, bell pepper, cilantro, spices and lots of cheese and served with a creamy cilantro sour-cream dip. These quick quesadillas are packed with flavor and can be made vegan too! 
Ingredients
* 1 tablespoon olive oil
* 1 cup bell pepper diced (colors of choice)
* 1 cup black beans canned, rinsed and drained
* 1/2 cup corn (canned, frozen or fresh)
* 1/2 cup onion diced
* 2 cloves garlic minced or crushed
* 1 teaspoon cumin
* 1 teaspoon chili powder
* salt and pepper to taste
* ¼ cup chopped cilantro
* 4 medium flour tortillas
* 2 cups shredded cheese

Instructions
* Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a medium pan over medium-high heat. Add the oil, bell peppers, black beans, corn, onion, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Season with salt and pepper and cook for 3-4 minutes or until the bell peppers and onions of softened. Turn off heat and stir in the cilantro.

* In a clean skillet over medium heat, add a flour tortilla. Top with cheese, cooked veggies mixture, and another layer of cheese. Place another tortilla on top and cook, flipping once, until golden on both sides, about 3 minutes per side. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Slice and Serve with sour-cream cilantro sauce.

🔑PUSH UP🔑

Few people could argue, that the push up is the most commonly performed exercise in the world, we’re taught this basic movement from an early age in gym class at school, pretty much everyone on the face of the earth has at least attempted push ups at some time in their life, whether successful or not.
When it comes to building upper body pushing strength, the dip and push up go hand in hand like peanut butter and jelly. The push up when done correctly requires stabilization from the core, strengthening the abdominals and glutes, and produces steel like tendons, strong shoulders, triceps and pectoral muscles.
Despite being a big fan of bench pressing (for some reason I’m far better at benching than any other single exercise believe it or not), I’ve spoken a lot about how people covet that exercise and neglect other areas of their body, so I want to be clear that I’m not bashing the bench press by any means, but rather trying to highlight just how valuable and often overlooked many bodyweight exercises are in comparison. The push up and dip included, no matter what your sport or style, they are essential for building a strong body that is balanced, well rounded and ready for action at any time.

Of course everyone wants to have a healthy lifestyle and be in shape, but how can we keep up in this fast-paced world? A full time job, a family that needs our attention, other duties that we can’t say “no” to, and so on.

🍗Oven Baked Tandoori Chicken 🍗
Ingredients
* 1 kg Chicken thighs (or a mix of thigh and leg)
* 3 tablespoon Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder ( For subs refer to note 1)
* 1.5 teaspoon Coriander powder
* 1.5 teaspoon Garam Masala
* ½ teaspoon Turmeric Powder
* ½ teaspoon Fresh Black pepper
* Salt to taste
* ¼ cup Mustard oil (for subs refer to note 2)
* ¼ cup Thick yogurt
* 2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
* 1 tablespoon lemon juice
* 2 tablespoon butter

Instructions
* Using a sharp knife, make 2-3 slits.
* Heat oil. It should be medium hot, not smoking hot. If the oil is too hot, it will burn the spices instantly.
* In a bowl add all dry spices, stir in hot oil and mix. Let it sit for 5 mins, for the flavours to infuse.
* Add yoghurt, ginger-garlic paste and lemon juice. Whisk everything well.
* Add chicken pieces to the yogurt mixture, rub the marination well, cover and let it marinate for at least 4 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
* Take marinated chicken out of the refrigerator at least 1 hour before cooking it. 

To make it in Oven
* Pre-heat oven to 375 F (180 C).
* Prepare a baking tray lined with foil. Place a grill rack on top.
* Shake off extra marination from the chicken, Arrange on prepared rack.
* Bake for 20-25 minutes or Until done.
* After 20 minutes, take it out of the oven, brush with melted butter. Put it on the top rack and broil it for 5 minutes at 400 F or until charred mark appears.

After we've taken a break from running face-to-face sessions we have made an extra special effort in planning for your first session back. 
THE WAIT IS FINALLY OVER, FREEDOM LUX FITNESS WILL LOVE TO INVITE YOU TO THEIR LIVE FITNESS PROGRAM STARTING AUGUST 3RD 2021
The program challenges members while encouraging everyone to work at their own pace in a fun and safe environment. Instructors provide modifications and challenges with every exercise offered during each one hour training session. The trainers’ coaching style is always motivating, encouraging, challenging and fun. Get the motivation you are looking for from working out amongst a group, while getting the individual attention to achieve your personal health and fitness goals.
Our Fitness Bootcamp workouts may include obstacle courses, strength training, cardiovascular endurance training, drills, running/power walking, agility & stability training, stretching, and many other exercises and modalities. Members can expect to gain strength, flexibility and increase stamina.
