The 13th Annual Art of Disability Festival is here! Come join us today, August 9, from 11-4 PM at Pier 21 in their Kenneth C. Rowe Hall & Chrysler Canada Pavilion. We will have 35+ vendors onsite selling paintings, jewelry, candles, baked goods, photography, and so much more! We want to hear from you.

You can take part in our study about employment support for immigrants with disabilities in Nova Scotia. The interview will take about 60 to 90 minutes online using Teams or Zoom. You will receive 45 dollars for your time.

Club Inclusion’s Summer Supper Club – August 5

Looking for a friendly, inclusive space to cook and connect? Club Inclusion Halifax is hosting its next in-person Supper Club on Tuesday, August 5 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at St. James Church Hall (2652 Joseph Howe Drive).

Participants will cook and enjoy a full meal together, with support provided throughout the evening.

On the menu:
Creamy tomato pasta, garlic bread, green salad, and chocolate chip cookies.

Dietary needs?
Club Inclusion can accommodate dairy-free, gluten-free, nut-free, vegetarian, and other dietary restrictions. Just let them know when registering.

Cost: $25
Pay at the session by cash, cheque (to Prescott Group), debit, or credit.
Please note: e-transfers cannot be accepted.

Cancellation policy:

Independent Living Nova Scotia is hiring a full-time Educational Assistant & Personal Care Worker to support a university student with cerebral palsy.

Details:
Location: Halifax (accessible van provided)
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:15 a.m.–5:15 p.m.
Start: Sept 2, 2025
Pay: $28/hr + paid training, vacation, sick days & holidays

Key Duties:
Personal care & daily support
Transport to classes
Note-taking & academic assistance

Requirements:
Valid driver’s license
Experience in disability support preferred
Compassionate & reliable
