Janis Aylward Psychotherapy and Consulting

Janis Aylward Psychotherapy and Consulting I am a registered psychotherapist who also uses energy therapy to deal with all types of compulsive behaviours and trauma.

My main goal is to help people break free from the chains of Trauma by using both science based and intuitive spiritual therapy. I use both psychotherapy and energy work to provide a unique approach to deal with Trauma.. If you have not heard of my work in the past it is because I have just recently returned to my home town of Thunder Bay after being away for approximately thirty years studying a

ll of these diverse therapeutic approaches. I am a holistic registered psychotherapist (with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario) and energy healer ( certified in Energy Psychology, Energy Medicine, Quantum Touch, Therapeutic Touch, Reiki, Emotional Freedom Techniques and advance Psych-K) who has been working in this field for twenty five years. As mentioned I am currently working with people who wish to release coping methods caused by Trauma. Behaviours such as compulsive over eating, worry, sex, anger, smoking, gambling, shopping, substance abuse as well as any other compulsive behaviours getting in the way of having the life you deserve. I am using a two new frameworks known as Tribal Theory Global and “feeling state” EMDR both that has proven extremely successful for treating such behaviours. This method can stop most of these behaviours in as little as one to five sessions. By stopping these compulsive behaviours it changes your energetic vibration so you can self actual emotionally, physically and spiritually. I also use EMDR for all trauma issues as well as other psychological methods such as Tribal Theory Global, Harm Reduction Methods and Mindfulness Mediation Therapy. I creatively combine both my more standard approach of psychotherapy and energy work to provide an unique approach to healing emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Tribal Theory Global is a non-western (originating with Freud not reporting sexual abuse and trauma caused by this): non-oppressive and no- colonized method. This framework breaks inter general trauma by releasing trauma at a cellular level using Sensory Dialogue, Symbolics and Celebration/Ritual. Barbara Allyn is the originator of this framework with her book TRIBAL THEORY: tTHE GENIUS OF ANXIETY, DEPRESSION &TRAUMA. Lastly, as mentioned, I am also a registered psychotherapist with the Ontario College of Psychotherapists. I also accept some employment assistant programs, NIHB for status Indigenous peoples and other methods of payment
