Dance Marathon is a nationwide movement, involving college and high school students at more than 150 schools across the country who raise money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in their community. At McMaster Smiling Over Sickness collaborates with The Children's Miracle Network to host Dance Marathon and raise money for the McMaster Children's Hospital. McMaster CHildren's Hospital accomm
odates more than 70,000 visits annually and is the second largest provider of inpatient pediatrics services in Ontario. The funds raised at Dance Marathon are used to support critical research and education, purchase life-saving equipment and ensure excellent quality of care. The event takes place at TwelvEighty Bar & Grill at McMaster every March. In the past two years of participation in the Children's Miracle Network Dance Marathon Movement, McMaster University has raised over $12,000.
