🧘‍♀️Why take a Yoga Teacher Training?!🧘‍♀️

1. You’re ready for change. You will not be the same person after you graduate. Trainings ignite change in a person’s life, and not always in ways you expect or anticipate. 🔥

2. You want to deepen your practice. Yoga teacher training will help you to dive deeper into what practice is for you, will have your explore different avenues of yoga and become more in tune with your body.🌗

3. You’re looking to make some of the best friends you’ve made since college or high school. These folks will watch you grow and change and before you know it, they will become family.👯‍♀️

4. You want to face your demons. You will unearth some of the most negative self-talk and judgements and you will have the chance to let them go.❤️

5. You want to take it past the physical. Yoga is so much more than asana (poses) and you’re going to find out how and why.💐

6. You want to share yoga with others. The best way to share something is to learn how to teach it.🕉

7. You want to learn alternative ways to heal bodies and hearts. 💕

8. You want to learn about Ayurveda. (Trust me. You do want to learn about this.). 🍎🍊🍋🍏🍇

9. You want to understand where yoga came from. This is key. It’s hard to share a practice with such deep roots when you don’t understand where it came from and how it became what it is in the West.🏔

10. You want to become a better partner. So much of leading a yoga class is clearly and simply explaining what you expect from your class. Imagine being able to do that during a heated moment with your life partner!👥

11. You want to learn to hold space for everyone. Holding space is the key to being a good yoga teacher. Learning to do this will make you a better professional, a better parent, a better friend, a better partner, and a better family member. To be able to be truly present in conversations is exactly what the world needs more of.💪

12. You want to be more open-minded. If you think life is black and white (or struggle to see it any other way), a teacher training will highlight how grey everything truly is.🧠

13. You want to figure out what it is that you have to offer the world. By truly listening during a teacher training, you will start to understand what it is that you are here to do. 👂

14. You want to try different styles of yoga or meditation. This is an effective way to learn what the entire scope of yoga has to offer.🙏

15. You want to learn more about how to live a life of balance. This is by far one of the most rewarding parts of a teacher training.☯️

16. You want to fall in love with yourself. After you learn how hard you’ve been on yourself, you’ll figure out how to love yourself.💜🖤💜

So. What are you waiting for?
Our next Yoga Teacher Training starting this fall!

Why We Stand Out

A collective of instructors: Above Average Yoga has partnered with some of the best teachers in the local market to bring you a well rounded, experience. This will allow you to form your own thoughts and opinions around several philosophical topics as well as getting the best teachings from people that specialize in their field.

Learn to teach yoga to a wide range of body types and abilities. Our background is in working with the general public, the people who are using yoga as a remedy for stress, pain, injuries and to create a better lifestyle. Many perspectives. Because we are operating as a collective teaching unit, unique gifts and talents will be brought forward to you! Al of the teachers will live in different bodies, come from different backgrounds and have taken different training. This brings about a unique experience of well rounded education.

Functional Anatomy training. The anatomy training will not be endless lecture. It will be learning about a part of the body and then moving that part of the body. This will allow you to experience the anatomy of your own body and understand how the body actually works. Rather then just reading about it in a text book. Don’t worry, those of you who love text? There is still that too!

A well thought out schedule with shorter sessions to enhance your learning. Maximum time in classroom per day is 6 hours. Out history has taught us that 8-10 hour days are simply not as effective to learning.

Most sessions will be recorded an uploaded for review! If you download them, you can keep them forever.

Very little. The homework required outside the weekends will be a personal practice log, and designing your practicum class. We cover absolutely everything else during the in class hours.

Are you registered with Yoga Alliance?
Yes we are, but that does not mean that you have to register with them when you have completed, it is completely optional and can even be done at a later date in your yoga journey.

Do I have to follow a religion or religious practices to be a yoga teacher or to be part of your training?
Not at all, anyone with any type of background can participate in yoga teacher training.

What are you doing to ensure safety during this Time of COVID-19?
All of our safety protocols are on our website, we are also only accepting 10 people into class to ensure proper social distancing at all times. We have also just purchased a disinfectant fogging tool that can disinfect a room in a matter of minutes that is completely natural and totally safe. We have also had a UV light installed in our HVAC system for extra safety!

Do you have a payment plan?
Yes, we can work out finances on a case by case basis. Just contact us and I will let you know what we can do.

I’m not really a reader, is there any required reading?
We do have one required textbook that is $25.99. No other reading is required but we do have a reading list if you love to read or listen to audiobooks!

Do I receive a manual?
Yes we have a comprehensive manual with all of the postures and a lot more information that will help you on your path.
