The Toby Hull Cardiac Fibrillation Management Laboratory. Research, Department of Cardiac Electrophysiology, Toronto General Hospital. Research in Electrophysiology and Regenerative Cardiology.

Research at the Hull Family VF lab deals mainly with the electrophysiological aspect of the human heart. Our focus is on the mechanisms of ventricular fibrillation, and our researchers with such diverse backgrounds such as
Medicine, biomedical engineering electrical engineering and nursing make an exceptional team that is uniquely qualified to reveal the intricate secrets that the Human heart so

grudgingly surrenders. Besides our research on VF, whose relevance is mainly on the clinical and academic side of research we have ventured into areas that have bearing on the popular culture and current public interest. We are currently conducting research on the short term effects of air pollution on the human heart . We have also concluded an experiment on the possible impact NID (taser) discharges would have on the heart, and our research was widely used as evidence in hearings conducted to determine the legality of such devices in law enforcement.
