Our pal Josh Classen from CTV News stopped by the Stollery Children's Hospital Saville Family Beach this morning to let us know a Blizzard is on its way — a Dairy Queen MIRACLE TREAT DAY Blizzard! 🍦

Make sure to visit your local Dairy Queen tomorrow, Thursday, August 14, to pick up a sweet treat and support the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation.

100% of the proceeds from all Blizzards sold on Miracle Treat Day at participating northern Alberta Dairy Queen locations will support life-saving care at the Stollery.

Today is Panda Cares Day! 🐼

On this day, Panda Express celebrates how their charitable efforts in the community spark hope for kids around the world. ✨

Last week, our friends at Panda Express filled hearts and tummies with visits to all three Stollery sites, including the Stollery Philip C. Etches NICU at the Royal Alexandra Hospital and the Stollery NICU at the Sturgeon Community Hospital. They not only brought tasty lunches, but also books, panda plushies and bags for Stollery patients and their families.

Northern Alberta Panda Express locations collect donations for the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation EVERY DAY at the till! Last year, they raised more than $47,000 for the Stollery.

Thank you to Panda Express for being amazing supporters of Stollery kids!

Heart of Gold

Adelaide loves riding her bicycle, doing gymnastics, going on scary rides at the amusement park and snuggling her cat, Yoda – all thanks to a heart transplant she received at the Stollery Children’s Hospital.

Born healthy, Adelaide developed breathing difficulties at three weeks old and was airlifted to the Stollery. Diagnosed with a heart condition, she went on an artificial heart at three months old that stabilized her until a donor heart was available at six months. Adelaide gets ongoing care at the Stollery and may need another transplant in the future, which is why her family is grateful to have a world-class children’s hospital right in their backyard.
