Natural Healing Energy Work Reiki is a natural, non-evasive method of healing, infusing the body with vital life-force energy to restore wellbeing on a physical and emotional level.

Feel Better. Live Better. What is Reiki? Simply put Reiki is a natural, non-evasive method of healing, performed by channeling energy through the hands. Its name is derived from 2 Japanese characters, Rei meaning universal, and Ki meaning vital, or life force energy. Reiki can never do any harm and acts to revitalize your body's own energetic field or "life force". It works to clear blockages in

order to promote healing, restore the natural and vital flow of energy that surrounds all of us, which is essential for optimal health. When our energy field is out of balance the natural flow of energy needed for optimal emotional and physical health is weakened and blockages are created. These blockages actually diminish the natural flow of energy and reduce your body's own natural ability to heal. Reiki works to gently remove these blockages and restore the energy flow thereby restoring your body's own powerful ability to heal itself. Stress is probably the single most damaging element that diminishes our overall health and most of us are over exposed to stress on a daily basis. Reiki works to reduce a person's overall stress levels and creates a sense of calm and relaxation. It effectively quiets the mind and pushes stress out of the way so the body can clear and heal. Reiki works to:
•Strengthen the immune system
•Clear toxins
•Relieve pain
•Release negative emotions associated with stress, depression, grief, anxiety etc. Some Conditions Reiki Helps With:

Reiki is "intuitive" meaning it is guided and knows exactly where to go within the body to clear blockages, remove toxins, restore and promote healing. While everyone's experiences with Reiki is unique, most people find after a Reiki session they experience a deep, calming sense of relaxation where they are significantly less "stressed", feel mentally more "clear" and generally at ease with themselves, others or life situations/stressors they are currently working through. Clients who come to my table in physical pain have all reported a noticeable reduction or in some cases, a complete removal of pain they were experiencing prior to a session. To achieve optimal results and restore the body's energy flow 4-5 Reiki sessions are generally recommended but even after a single session all the clients I have worked with report an improvement to their overall health and sense of well being.

"I never understood how my patients – all health nuts, eating vegan diets or juicing, working out with personal trainers or taking supplements, and sleeping eight hours a night – could be some of the sickest people I've ever met. But after my research, I had an epiphany: My patients were sick because they were in chronic repetitive stress response. No amount of kale can counterbalance the poisonous effects of high doses of cortisol and epinephrine on every cell. Their bodies had lost the ability to self-repair."

We hear "Stress is the worst for your health" but exactly why? And the definition of stress goes way beyond just being super busy. What the body actually considers "stress" may surprise you. Do you know that as far as the body is concerned being chased by a tiger and being unhappy in a soul-sucking job are the same; each triggering the same physiological responses. When we are in a state of "stress" our body can not adequately heal and all the yoga, kale and supplements in the world won't make much of a dent if you are stressed. Perhaps some alternative words for "stressed" are chronically unhappy, unsatisfied, lonely, sad, overwhelmed, anxious, heart-broken, empty, angry or unbalanced - basically the gamut of negative emotions. Your actual state of mind may be the golden key to health - sure you are going to encounter challenging situations but the way in which you mentally process them and your perspective can make the difference in whether you get sick or not.
