Getting physiotherapy is not just about reducing pain, it’s about how that pain is affecting your life.

I have been in practice for a long time and I love to find out WHY people come to see us for treatment. We are often focused on decreasing someone's pain, or improving their strength but I like to find out what the patient's goals are and what they will be doing when they get better.

Is it knitting that hat for your newborn granddaughter after a wrist fracture why you are having treatment? Is it getting your knee better in time to play in that playoff game? Is it improving your core strength so you can safely get back to gardening?

What is your WHY?

Losing mobility in your shoulder? It could be frozen shoulder!

It usually happens gradually… you have pain, making it hard to lay on that side. When the shoulder becomes frozen, the capsule of connective tissue surrounding your shoulder joint thickens and tightens around the joint, making it difficult to move.
