Meet Terry
Many moments as a kid were spent gazing up at the most incredible canvas of forever changing art, thinking about my future and what adventures I was to experience on my path. It was among these amazing moments beneath the African Skies, where I was born and raised dreaming of doing what I love and loving what I do that the seed was planted to pursue being within the industry of creativity, dance, beauty and essentially a spa environment.
Captivated by the glittering costumes, beautiful up do’s and make-up, while dancing competitively, during my childhood, is where I discovered my passion for estethics. My entrance position into the job market as a teenager was exciting as I scored a job with a mother-daughter hairstylist team, in our local community and I loved it!
New exciting adventures took flight upon the completion of high school. My parents gifted a graduation gift of an airline ticket with an opportunity to travel to Canada, to learn life skills and attend John Casablanca Modelling, Personal Development & Career Centre. In the heart of downtown Toronto, buzzing with energy and soul is where I received my education and certification in Make-up Artistry.
Grateful, proud and blessed for the opportunities learned and earned along my path working with a bouquet of personalities and industries, from hair, cosmetics, skin care, travel and serving, to administration. It fills me with pride and gratitude, to have contributed in togetherness by bringing hope, comfort, safety, love to children and families in the Kingston and surrounding areas during my administrative role in Adoption and Children’s Services, prior to EssentiallyU Spa. My most accomplished role and responsibility, that’s offered daily undertakings of unpredictability and enjoyment is the blessed gift of being a parent, thankful for the privilege in raising two amazing sons.
