Back Door Mission continues to serve as the anchor of the Mission United Durham Hub, collaborating with 12 partner agencies to provide health and social services from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Our core services—meals, washrooms, showers, and service navigation—remain essential, but we believe the next step in care is building community and well-being through meaningful programming.

Did you know?

Last year, Alpha House received 1,044 applications from men seeking recovery, but due to bed limits and funding, only 107 could be admitted. That means 88.5% were denied crucial support simply because there wasn’t enough space.

Help us change this. With your generosity, we can add more beds and give more men a chance at lasting recovery.
