Honoring Cody Kimewon: Indigenous Support Worker & Community Leader 🌟
Meet Cody Kimewon, a proud Anishinaabe and a true champion for our Toronto community. With over 14 years of lived experience in addiction recovery and homelessness, Cody brings deep empathy, cultural knowledge, and resilience to his work every day.
Currently serving at Fred Victor Centre’s Warming Centre and Keep Cool programs, Cody supports individuals through crisis intervention and trauma-informed care—and his extensive experience in construction proves that he gets the job done, no matter the challenge.
Outside of work, Cody volunteers his time with Aboriginal Legal Services, leading groups, ceremonies, and workshops focused on healing and connection. His unwavering commitment is rooted in lived experience, cultural pride, and a passion for building safer, inclusive spaces for all.
Please join us in celebrating Cody’s leadership and ongoing impact in our city!
