Not to be dramatic… but this box is changing everything for us.

I used to think, “Who cares if it’s toxic? Weve used this stuff for years.”

Here's the real tea about what's been happening the last 72 hours with me ....

My brain has been SPINNING since Friday afternoon... but it's also given me clarity and now crazy excitement.

If you’ve followed me for a while, you know how much I’ve loved Modere. The products helped me feel like me again after struggling with weight gain, hormone chaos, and zero energy through perimenopause.

Q: “Why do I crave sugar like a maniac before my period now?”

Symptom:
You feel like a human garbage disposal for 3–5 days a month. The cravings are real—and they hit hard. It’s like your willpower takes a vacation and your pantry gets raided.

Solution:
This is one of those things that feels totally unfair, but it actually makes sense. Right before your period, estrogen drops and progesterone rises. That hormonal combo can lower your serotonin (hello, cravings), increase cortisol, and spike your need for quick energy—which is why sugar becomes so tempting.

Here’s what works:
✅ Fuel properly the week before your period—more protein, healthy carbs, and fiber
✅ Don’t skip meals (this is your most vulnerable week!)
✅ Eat a little bit more if you’re hungrier—your body is burning more calories pre-period
✅ Stay hydrated and get enough sleep—cravings increase when you’re tired or dehydrated

One minute you’re chill. The next you’re crying over a fabric softener commercial. Mood swings, irritability, anxiety—for no clear reason. It’s like a hormonal rollercoaster with no seatbelt.

Solution:
Girl, this one hit me hard. You’re not going crazy, and it’s not just in your head. Hormonal shifts, especially when estrogen is on a downward spiral, affect neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine—your feel-good chemicals. So of course you feel off.

The good news? You can absolutely support your mood naturally:
✅ Eat for blood sugar stability (yes, I’ll keep saying this—it matters that much)
✅ Add healthy fats—they support hormone production AND brain health
✅ Walk daily—movement = mood magic
✅ Get some morning sun and prioritize quality sleep
✅ Focus on nutrient-dense foods to fill in the gaps (B vitamins, magnesium, omega-3s)

I also added adaptogens and focused on gut health—because 90% of your serotonin is made in your gut. Once I started supporting my biology instead of fighting it, I felt way more grounded.

Q: “Why am I waking up at 3AM every night?”

Symptom:
You fall asleep no problem, but like clockwork—you’re wide awake at 3AM. And of course, your brain decides that’s the perfect time to relive every awkward moment of 8th grade.

Solution:
Peri menopause can throw your sleep right out the window—especially if cortisol and blood sugar are involved (spoiler alert: they probably are). Estrogen and progesterone help regulate your sleep-wake cycle, and when they’re all over the place, sleep gets sketchy.

But here’s what helped me go from zombie to sleeping beauty(ish):
👉 Eat a protein-rich dinner with healthy fats—keeps blood sugar stable overnight
👉 No wine before bed (I know, I cried too)
👉 Cut back on caffeine after noon
👉 Try a calming bedtime routine—magnesium, Epsom salt baths, stretching, journaling
👉 Support your adrenals and blood sugar during the day so cortisol doesn’t spike at night

When I fixed my blood sugar swings and started eating enough protein, my sleep improved dramatically. Don’t accept bad sleep as your new normal. You can get it back.

Symptom:
Your rings don’t fit. Your jeans feel tighter by 3pm. And some days, it’s like your body is holding onto everything—water, air, carbs, emotions… the whole buffet.

Solution:
Oh girl, this was a fun one (said no one ever). Bloating during perimenopause is super common—and it’s not just from food. Estrogen and progesterone are constantly shifting, and when they’re out of balance, your digestion slows down and you hold onto more water. Combine that with stress, gut issues, or poor blood sugar balance, and hello bloat.

Here’s what helped me (and what science backs up):
✅ Add more fiber (aim for 25–30g/day) to keep things moving
✅ Drink more water (I know—annoying advice, but it works)
✅ Eat more anti-inflammatory foods (leafy greens, berries, healthy fats)
✅ Watch your sodium if you’re super sensitive
✅ And stop skipping meals—that tanks your blood sugar and backfires every time

Also? Gut health is huge. I had to totally rethink how I was eating—not less, but better. You’ll be amazed what a happy gut can do for your waistline, mood, and energy.

I'm starting a new series that will run this month sharing with you a ton of info I've gathered in the last 5 years about Peri Menopause and how to feel your best during it.

Q: “Why am I gaining weight even though I haven’t changed how I eat?”
Symptom:
That annoying belly bloat or stubborn scale creep, even though nothing's really changed in your routine. You’re eating what you always ate, maybe even exercising more—and yet…your jeans are tight, and your patience is tighter.
Solution:
Okay, I remember this stage so clearly—and I thought I was losing my mind. The truth? Your body is shifting, especially when it comes to hormones like estrogen, cortisol, and insulin.
Estrogen starts to drop during perimenopause, and that changes where your body likes to store fat (hi, midsection). At the same time, your insulin sensitivity takes a hit, so your body doesn’t process carbs the way it used to. Translation? Even “healthy” habits might not be cutting it anymore.
The fix? You don’t need to punish yourself. You just need to adjust your approach:
👉 30g of protein per meal to protect your muscle and keep cravings low
👉 Low glycemic, blood sugar-friendly meals (this is what my recipes are built around)
👉 Supporting your gut and managing stress—because cortisol is queen when it comes to belly fat

If you're on a weight loss path, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND starting with a 5 day gut reset, because it sets your metabolism and your mind & energy on the right path for REAL consistency.
