So many fun things to do in winter. You could (with the help of Halifax event offerings):
Stroll through Halifax public gardens
Go out for a winter wonderland hike - gentle or challenging. There are a wealth of trails listed and available - dependent on weather via https://nstrails.com/ and other sites
Go cross country skiing
Try snowshoeing
Explore Point Pleasant or Shubenacadie parks
Take the Dartmouth ferry - The Halifax ferry is the oldest saltwater ferry in North America
Chase frozen waterfalls - again many websites can guide you in your area. Here is just one: https://www.todocanada.ca/25-waterfalls-to-explore-in-nova-scotia/
Explore an art gallery or museum
Visit the library
Go mall walking
See a Mooseheads or Thunderbirds Game
One of my particular favourites - have a walk along the beach - wrap up and take a picnic!
See one of the many, and beautiful viewpoints around Nova Scotia
And finally, and equally fantastic,..snuggle up with a good book, a hot chocolate and watch the beautiful snow
