Many of us are back to the office or school this week, and that means back to the tension that builds from working at your computer.

Here’s a few tips to Ease Neck Tension while you work! 🪑💻

🔹Chin Tucks
Sit tall and gently pull your chin straight back (as if making a double chin). Add a little foreard flexion at the wnd if it feels good. Hold for 5 seconds. Repeat 10 times.
✔ Helps counteract forward-head posture from screen time.

🔹 Side Neck Stretch
Slowly tilt your ear toward your shoulder until you feel a gentle stretch. Gently bring your chin down towards your armpit on the same side. Hold 15–20 seconds, then switch sides.
✔ Relieves tight muscles from desk and phone use.

🔹 Upper Trapezius Stretch
Place one hand on your head and gently guide your ear toward your shoulder and pull down on that same side as your arm. Hold 15–20 seconds on each side.
✔ Reduces neck and shoulder tension.

🔹Chest Opening Stretch
Pull your shoulders backwards, squeeze your shoulder blades together.
✔️ Opens tight muscle from forward leaning.

⏰ Tip: Take a stretch break every 30–60 minutes during your workday, set a reminder on your phone, make sure to drink some water too 💧

If you’re experiencing persistent neck pain, headaches, or stiffness, chiropractic care can help address the root cause—not just the symptoms. It’s one of the most common reasons people seek relief with Chiropractors.

The tone of your nervous system is an incredible tool that helps you integrate and respond to your environment; Chiropractic is a healing tool that helps support the ability of your nervous system to make that sure that response is optimal 🧠

“Everything becomes a little more rigid. A little more reactive. Healing, growth, development, learning, and even compassion take a backseat to survival.

This is what we call the sympathetic alarm state—when the body is running a stress response that never fully turns off. It might not look like panic. It might not even feel anxious. But it shows up in all sorts of ways:

• Sensory sensitivities
• Emotional reactivity
• Digestive issues
• Sleep disruptions
• Allergies, skin flare-ups, or immune imbalances
• Developmental delays or ‘plateaus’
• The sense that your child is smart and capable but still struggling to get traction

These signs are often misunderstood as separate conditions— or chalked up to personality. But they’re often the body’s way of saying: ‘I don’t feel safe enough to change right now.’” – Satya Sardonicus, DC, CACCP

Many childhood symptoms we treat as separate problems are actually expressions of a nervous system stuck in protection, held together by deep fascial patterns. When we stop chasing symptoms and instead create somatic safety—addressing fascia, structure, and nervous system regulation together—the body can finally soften, integrate, and heal as a whole.

❄️ Winter Wellness: Why We Keep NAC in our Home This Time of Year ❄️

Winter can be tough on the body — less sunlight, more stress, and seasonal bugs can all take a toll. One supplement we often take during the colder months is NAC (N-acetylcysteine).

💡 What is NAC?
NAC is a form of the amino acid cysteine and is best known for helping the body produce glutathione, one of its most important antioxidants.

🛡️ Why NAC is helpful in winter
NAC supports several key systems that work overtime this time of year:

• 🌬️ Supports respiratory health by helping thin and clear mucus

• 🧪 Supports antioxidant defenses, helping the body manage seasonal stress

• 🛠️ Supports cellular repair and detox pathways, especially when the body is under strain

• 🔥 Supports balanced inflammation, which is part of a healthy immune response

Rather than acting as a quick “immune booster,” NAC helps support the body’s natural defenses and recovery processes, which is especially helpful during cold and flu season.

🌿 Whole-body winter wellness
NAC works best alongside good sleep, hydration, balanced nutrition, movement, stress management, and chiropractic care to support nervous system and overall health.

These are two brands we keep in our house, the capsules can be easily opened and added to apple sauce if you cant swallow pills. And for CanPrev tastes like strawberry 🍓

Stay well and stay adjusted 💙

❄️ Supporting Your Immune System This Winter 🤧

Winter can be tough on our bodies — less sunlight, more stress, and more time indoors can all take a toll on our immune system.

Chiropractic care supports your immune health by:

🔹Helping your nervous system function at its best
🔹Reducing stress on the body that can interfere with healing
🔹Supporting better movement, posture, and overall wellness
🔹Encouraging your body’s natural ability to adapt and recover

🧠 Your nervous system plays a key role in how your body responds to stress and stays balanced. When the spine is moving well and the nervous system is supported, your body is better equipped to stay resilient during cold and flu season.

Chiropractic care isn’t about “treating” illness — it’s about supporting your body so it can do what it was designed to do: adapt, heal, and function at its best. 💙

Stay well this winter! ☃️

🌀 Why do Chiropractors recommend more frequent visits at the beginning of care? 🌀

When you first start chiropractic care, your body is learning something new — how to move, heal, and function better.

In the early stages of a treatment plan, more frequent visits help:

▪️Reduce inflammation and pain
▪️Restore proper joint movement and alignment
▪️Help your nervous system “relearn” healthier patterns
▪️Prevent old habits and compensations from pulling you back out of alignment

Think of it like physical therapy, orthodontics, or going to the gym: consistency at the beginning creates lasting results. As your body stabilizes and holds adjustments longer, visits are usually spaced out and focused on maintenance and prevention.

Our goal isn’t to keep you coming in forever — it’s to help your body heal, stabilize, and stay well so you can get back to living your life fully. 💙

Have questions about your care plan? We’re always happy to explain the why behind your personal recommendations 🙋🏻‍♂️

📣 DANCERS, GYMNASTS & CHEERLEADERS — it’s competition season ‼️

Many people think chiropractic care is only needed after pain starts—but for teen athletes, that’s often too late.

Teen bodies are growing, training hard, and repeating the same movements over and over. Small imbalances, poor mechanics, or limited mobility can quietly build up long before pain shows up. By the time something hurts, compensation patterns are already established.

Chiropractic care helps teen athletes:
✔️ Maintain proper movement and alignment
✔️ Improve mobility and coordination
✔️ Support healthy growth and development
✔️ Reduce the risk of overuse injuries
✔️ Help speed up recovery if injuries or pain occurs

The goal isn’t just pain relief—it’s keeping young athletes moving well, performing better, and staying in the game.

➡️ Prevention matters, for young athletes and the adults they grow up to be!

Functional Scoliosis in Teenagers 🩻

Some teenagers are being told they may have “scoliosis,” but not all scoliosis is structural.
Functional scoliosis is often caused by muscle imbalances, posture habits (hello backpacks 📚 and screens 📱), or joint restrictions—not permanent changes to the spine. Some sports with assymetrical mechanics can also predispose children to this. It is often observed in hockey players, baseball, volleyball, dance and gymnasts.

The good news? Functional scoliosis can often improve with the right care.

At our chiropractic clinic, we focus on:
✔️ Assessing posture and movement
✔️ Addressing spinal and pelvic imbalances
✔️ Supporting healthy growth during the teen years

If you’ve noticed uneven shoulders, a tilted posture, rounded shoulders, or recurring back and shoulder pain in your teen, an assessment can help determine what’s really going on.

Early support matters—especially while bodies are still growing. Children as young as 10 may show early signs of postural maladaption, the sooner it can be observed and followed, the less likely the chance of permanent anatomical change as they finish growing.
