I un-did a thing.

In 2016, I opened the beautiful clinic - it was a vision I had and loved creating.

In 2020, when the world shut down and I had a break from clinic ownership, I realized my heart was no longer in it.

I struggled with the decision for almost a year as we navigated the chaos that was COVID.

In 2021, I sold the clinic to the wonderful and still get to call it my work home. I love our team.

It’s been 5 years since I knew it was a decision I had to make.

I worried so much about what people would think and if I was a failure for not seeing it through.

The truth is, letting go of this one piece allowed me to free up time and energy in my zones of genius - group programs, workshops, podcasting, coaching other clinicians, developing CE courses - as well as more time for me and my kiddos.

Things that light me up way more and feed back into serving others in a big way, too.

Sometimes we need to un-do and let go to move on to what we’re meant for.

In a world and society where we can focus so much on doing, growing and having more - sometimes you need to pause, go inward, listen to your gut and heart and allow the rest to unfold - even if it’s scary, even if you feel like you’re failing, even if you’re not sure how it’s going to work out -

But you know the decision is right.

This sign is still on our building from 2021 and seeing it yesterday reminded me of how much things change and how important it is to surrender to the flow of life.

It’s not always easy, but I promise you’ll find your way on the other side of whatever hard decision you have to make 💕

If you struggle with brain fog (it’s real!) and want to reduce your risk of dementia -

Ditch the search for a supplement fix and book a girls weekend.

I just had 3 beautiful days with the incredible and , who I am lucky to call my besties.

I’m feeling more energized, clear-headed, and myself than I have in a long time.

It’s not just the laughter and late-night chats (though those help too!) — research shows that strong relationships and a sense of community are essential for mental health, reducing brain fog, and even lowering the risk of dementia as we age.

We’re wired for connection. And weekends like this are the best reminder that our friendships aren’t just good for the soul — they’re medicine for the mind too.

Tired of the searching through the information overwhelm?

I’m deep in a continuing education course on obesity management right now — and get so many questions on intermittent fasting (IF) on the regular from patients.

Here’s the real talk:

👉🏼 IF can help with weight loss mainly because you eat fewer calories — not because of fasting magic.

👉🏼 Real metabolic benefits (like better insulin sensitivity) need longer fasts — 14–16+ hours — not just skipping breakfast.

👉🏼 Most research on fasting has been done in men. Women (especially pre and perimenopausal) have been underrepresented - this matters because women tend to be more sensitive to prolonged fasting, especially in reproductive years

👉🏼 Prolonged fasting and underfueling can disrupt your HPA axis (the connection between your brain and adrenals that moderates your stress response) and the connection between your brain and ovaries- all of which can negatively impact menstrual cycles, mood and thyroid health

I’m tired of diet culture recycling half-truths.

It’s never a one-size-fits-all or magic bullet approach.

What’s best for you is what *works* best for you.

I have a question that you might not like…

What if this was the year that you stopped pretending you had a goal you weren’t willing to work towards?

Oof. But hear me out, because this was one of the most activating questions I was once asked.

What if instead, you got radically honest with yourself and asked yourselves a series of hard questions and gave yourself the real answers?

If your goal is to “be healthy” to “put yourself first” to “lose the weight” - what does that actually mean?

How are you going to create that for yourself?

What does it mean saying yes to?

What does it mean saying no to?

What does it mean making time for?

What does it mean letting go of?

What if you took the action you’re always saying you know you need to take?

What if you just did the damn thing?

And are you willing to do it, even when it’s hard, but you know it’s the right thing?

I’m Leigha. I help women who are feeling tossed and lost in their medical experience find answers and solutions, and most importantly, themselves.

It’s what I like to call a mix of the science and the soul.

It’s built on the confidence of 12 years in practise, thousands of patient visits, hundreds of continuing education hours and a relentless pursuit to elevate women’s health.
