Mentoring students is part of our clinic philosophy. We are so happy to have Hailey Davidson, Physiotherapy Masters student from the University of Toronto, and Xinfeng Zhang, Physiotherapy Assistant student from Durham College, both with us for a 6 week placement. Rachel, our previous student, shows her gratitude for the time our team took to teach her new skills during her placement. Thank you to our patients and staff for giving these students great learning opportunities.

Jodi from Uxbridge Physiotherapy spent one day of her long weekend providing quality Sport Physiotherapy to athletes at the Provincial Dodgeball Championships in St. Catharines. She was thrilled to work alongside other healthcare professionals, make connections with athletes and organizers, as well as demonstrate what our unique skills are as Physiotherapists. One of our patients came in today and started telling his physiotherapist that he checked his hips and the incision was on the other side and we had been treating the wrong hip the whole time… The physiotherapist, of course, felt quite concerned about this and couldn’t believe that she missed this, started explaining how he had findings on both sides, (which he does)… Then the smile spread onto his face as he said “April fools day!” Phew! Good one 🤪

Jodi Bussiere was asked to present to the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital Volunteer Auxillary today. She spoke about some of her career highlights and experiences at many different events over the years. Volunteerism and family were themes throughout. Many who attended have been patients at Uxbridge Physiotherapy and raved about our staff and the services they receive.

Reminder if you want to be truly inspired, the 2026 Winter Paralympics are on TV every day, was watching sitting super G and sledge hockey last night, incredible! As of Monday night, Canada had 7 medals already! 🎖️ Go Canada! 🇨🇦
