One of my favorite things about travel is how surprises show up when you least expect them.
At a charming little restaurant in Rio, they gave me this rolled-up note when I was checking out. I didn’t open it until I was back home in Canada — kind of forgot about it, actually! Inside it said:
“Stand for something or you will fall for anything.”
It felt like the perfect reminder that not everything has to happen right away. Sometimes the best moments — and messages — take their time finding us.
