We are pleased to welcome our first family medicine residents through University of Toronto’s Family Medicine Residency Program!

The Family Medicine Teaching Unit (FMTU) is a partnership between the Markham Stouffville Hospital, the University of Toronto Department of Family and Community Medicine, and Uxbridge Health Centre..

All family medicine residents have received their medical degrees and are completing their final medical training in a hospital and community environment. Family medicine residents are assigned to the Uxbridge FMTU for a period of two years and each will have his or her own practice under the supervision of experienced faculty physicians at Uxbridge Health Centre.

Some family medicine residents may choose to stay in Uxbridge once their training is complete. If they decide to leave the area, patients may continue to be seen at the FMTU and be transferred to new residents.

We are proud to welcome the first cohort of physicians-in-training to join Uxbridge Family Medicine Teaching Unit.

Happy Earth Day to our beautiful planet!

🌏 Here are a few things you can do to help our planet this Earth Day.

1. Low Energy Tuesday! Limit the use of power and save some energy.
2. Make a recycling plan. Research the recycling protocols for your area and make sure you are cleaning and sorting appropriately to ensure your products get recycled.
3. Pick up litter! If you’re out for a walk, bring along a bag to collect any garbage you see lying around.

Power issues at Uxbridge health center. No computers. No access to files. No internet. No phones. No coffee.☕️
We cannot safely assess in our current environment. Please do not come to the clinic as we can’t serve you. Will re assess this afternoon and if possible will be open for walk in clinic tonight. Phones are down so you can not reach us. Once servers back up you can go online to rebook appointments or call the front desk.
