My counselling service provides specialized mental health support for agricultural producers and farm families. The Farm Stress Line below if available 24/7 for any crisis.

As of April 1, SaskAgMatters will manage the Farm Stress Line, which provides 24/7 confidential support to help producers and their families manage the unique pressures of farming and ranching.

The toll-free number will stay the same - 1-800-667-4442. Through SaskAgMatters, producers also have access to counselling services with professionals trained in agriculture.

This is why I am so adamant we need to create opportunities for agriculture producers and their families to speak with mental health professionals in a way that works for them and feels genuine and truly helpful. Having an understanding of the agriculture industry though my personal experience allows me to better understand and relate to my client’s concerns and challenges.

At Home In Your Body” is a 6-week body-based therapy group for adult survivors of sexual violence.

The group includes trauma-informed movement, mindfulness, and grounding exercises to help survivors feel safe in their bodies, reclaim their agency, and help process the trauma that was not their fault. The group is informed by somatic therapy, feminist theory, and narrative approaches, and incorporates elements of other modalities including DBT.

I highly recommend this training Mental Health First Aid for everyone - you learn how to support friends, family or coworkers experiencing a mental health concern. Have you ever wondered what you should say or do when someone is struggling? This type of information is so needed in our rural communities so I am happy to see it’s available in Assiniboia in March.
