My saturn return had me in existential crisis… i’m happy about it, i’m happy for this journey of remembering who i am on a soul level.

Though, this hasn’t been easy, i look forward to the art that i will be creating as i alchemize these experiences and emotions.

I will be away from social media for now.

I looked outside and warped myself to fit the mold and have a sense of belonging and worth. They said, “you look so good.” What they didn’t know is i was suffering with an eating disorder. Even then, some people would still joke around and call me “fat”. I became more and more obsessed about how I looked and engaged in more self-destruction.
Today, i go back and meet my younger self.

I forgive her for all the things she thought she had to do. You’re enough as you are, 18 year old Jeanne.

Have you ever felt left out or behind in life? I definitely have.

Oh hey!! I’m back from a long hiatus! 🥹 Before taking a break, i was beating myself up for wanting a break, thinking that if i take a break I’ll feel behind even more.

But having the courage to take a break made me realized so much about myself and what i want to stop and continue. My connection with myself and my guides are so much stronger. Pause and go within… and reconnect with who you are. ❤️‍🔥

🗒️Quick reminder that you’re not behind. Behind who??? Who are we following?? It’s okay to take a break and care for your wellbeing. ♥️

Don’t ‘should’ on yourself - “I should meditate, journal, should this or should that.” Explore what makes you feel energized and grounded and then commit to doing them daily even if it’s just for 1 min.
You get to choose practices that works for you. 💗
The day I decided I’m tired of going through it alone and that I’m gonna take responsibility for my own healing and growth was when opportunities popped up.
I welcomed in support, prioritized my mental health by doing something for my mind, body, and spirit; I took responsibility through committing to showing up to my therapy appointments, daily breathwork + meditation, journaling, and yoga because these are the practices that I found helpful for me.
How are you taking responsibility for your own healing and growth?

DO YOU GIVE YOURSELF SPACE?

Space to pause and slow down? Or Have you set your life to be ‘busy’ all the time? 😩

Space to feel and express your emotions? Or do you distract yourself with your chosen poison? 😵‍💫

Space to be witnessed? Or Do you judge yourself and fear being vulnerable? 🫣

It’s okay if you haven’t been intentional with these spaces. You’re not alone. Our society’s foundation wasn’t built with healing in mind. 🤒

Beautiful being, you deserve those spaces. 🤩

If you feel a lot of guilt and shame around slowing down, having tough emotions, and being vulnerable, I get you. I did too. I still do at times. ♥️

But it doesn’t mean you can’t shift them and life will always be the way it is now.

It doesn’t have to be.

You get to choose. YOU GET TO DESIGN A LIFE THAT WORKS FOR YOU AND YOU LOVE LIVING! 🦋

it’s interesting how the brain works
protects us by forgetting traumas we went through

as I heal
i get flashbacks
I go back and free parts of myself

in the past I froze
in the present
as i went back i moved and freed
that version of myself

I am here
I am alive
I’m taking back that part of myself

My past sometimes get the best of me. Feeling overwhelmed, hopeless, drowning in pain so my mind wants a way out even if I’m scared of missing out on the things I’m still yet to experience.

This is why having someone who understands and guides you as you heal is so important.

EMBODIMENT. WHAT IS IT TO YOU?
A couple years ago, i wrote my first poem.

“I have this enemy
and it is within me.

It loves to
do things, say things,
I don’t want to.

Oh, you have no clue.

It whispers to my ear,
‘Get up and leave.’
when I just want to be here.

I didn’t mean to say
all the things i said
i just want to stay
but i feel like a threat

Oh, this mind of mine!
It blocks what i need to hear.

I am a slave of my own mind.”

The practice of ‘being’ sets me free from feeling imprisoned by my mind. That is what embodiment is to me, the ‘being’ in human being where I’m fully present in my body with my spirit.

Music, movement, gratitude are my medicines.
