Melissa helps lead our clinical coordinating team and is also available to support clients who are looking to access our counselling services! She is available for counsellor match consultations Sunday-Thursday and is eager to connect with anyone wanting more information about mental health support!
As a dedicated mental health advocate with a colourful background in anthropology and archaeology, she has found many parallels in the psychology of human behaviour. Living in the UK and traveling globally, she has cultivated a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and the unique humans that shape them. With a strong commitment to mental health awareness, she worked closely with indigenous groups during her undergraduate studies, gaining firsthand insights into the importance of cultural narratives in shaping mental well-being. This experience ignited a passion for promoting empathy and understanding, while reducing stigma, within mental health discussions. A self-proclaimed medieval history nerd, Bruce Springsteen superfan, and lover of historical literature, she often relates the power of storytelling as a tool for healing and connection. With a warm heart and an empathetic spirit, she is dedicated to fostering a supportive environment where every voice is heard and valued in the conversation around mental health.

đż A little greenery goes a long way đż
Plants arenât just for decorationâthey help create a calm, grounded, and welcoming environment. In our counselling space, the presence of plants is intentional. They remind us to slow down, breathe deeply, and stay connected to the present moment.
Whether itâs the soft glow of string lights or a trailing vine by the window, these little touches can make a big difference in how we feel.
What elements help you feel safe and at ease in a space? đą
