🌹 Medusa was not always a monster.
Originally, she was a chthonic underworld Mother, the embodiment of earth power, wild, protective, and sacred.
Patriarchy distorted her into a demon, a figure to fear rather than honor.
Later, Ovid tells a darker, more human story: she was a mortal woman, r***d by Poseidon in Athena’s temple, then punished by Athena (a patriarchal goddess) for violating her sacred space, and finally killed by Perseus.
This is the energy rising in the body now—the silenced, punished, sacred feminine—wanting to be seen, heard, and reclaimed.
