For a long time, I thought the patterns I couldn’t change meant something was wrong with me.

Now I understand it differently.

Your brain isn’t sabotaging you. It’s protecting you.

Every pattern you carry made sense once. It was a reasonable response to your environment, your experiences, your relationships, your survival.

The problem isn’t that your brain learned the pattern. The problem is that it doesn’t always realize you’ve outgrown it.

And something important to remember:

Changing patterns is not equally hard for everyone.

Our ability to step into discomfort is shaped by our history, our families, our nervous systems, and the culture we were raised inside of.

Blaming yourself for inherited patterns keeps you stuck. Understanding them is what begins to set you free.

The goal isn’t shame. It’s awareness.

Because awareness creates choice. And choice is where change begins.

The full article is linked in my bio. 🌿

And if you want to go deeper: this week’s Substack includes a full Pattern Audit for mind, body, heart, and spirit — designed to help you recognize the patterns you’ve been living inside of, and gently decide which ones you’re ready to keep… and which ones you’re ready to release.

What’s one pattern you’ve been circling for years?

Burnout doesn’t always look like exhaustion.

Sometimes it looks like being the one everyone relies on.
The one who keeps it together.
The one who doesn’t need much.

And for a while, that identity works.

It builds a life.
Creates success.
Holds everything in place.

But quietly, it starts to cost you.

Not because you’re doing something wrong—
but because you’ve outgrown the version of you that made it all possible.

This is the part most people miss.

You can rest, reset, take time off—
and still find yourself right back in the same patterns.

Because burnout isn’t just about what you’re doing.
It’s about who you’ve learned to be.

The work is deeper than rest.
It’s about releasing the identity underneath it.

That’s what this workshop is for.

Releasing the Burnout Identity — now live on Substack.
A guided process to help you step out of over-functioning and into a way of living that actually supports you.

If something in this stirred something deeper—

You’ve been looking for a space where the conversations go deeper.

Where wellness isn’t a trend — it’s a practice.
Where the people in the room actually get it.

This is intentionally small.
8–10 women, max.
A thoughtful gathering of curious, intelligent people who are actively doing the work. ✨

Because the research is clear:
Community is one of the strongest predictors of wellbeing.
And reading — the kind that challenges how you see yourself — has the power to rewire the way you think.

We’re bringing both together.

Our first book:
Anxiety: Curiosity, Creativity, and Finding Your Life’s Purpose by Martha Beck

→ Sunday, April 26 · 10am
→ Metro Vancouver · location shared upon sign-up
→ New book every 6 weeks
→ 8–10 spots only

DM me to reserve your spot before this one fills. 😊

There comes a point where pushing harder doesn’t work anymore.

Where you realize the life you’ve built might look good on paper —
but doesn’t feel good in your body.

This retreat isn’t about escaping your life.

It’s about returning to yourself within it.

A space to step out of the noise,
reconnect with what actually matters,
and begin building a life that feels as good as it looks.

Through movement, reflection, conversation, and rest,
we’ll gently unwind the patterns of burnout
and create space for something more sustainable, more meaningful, more you.

No pressure to perform.
No version of you to be.

Just space to breathe, reset, and come back to yourself.

If you’ve been craving a shift — this is your invitation.

Join me at on Bowen Island.
November 4-6, 2026.

Burnout is rarely just about workload.
More often, it’s about worth.

When we’ve learned — consciously or unconsciously — that our value comes from being capable, reliable, and strong, slowing down can feel genuinely unsafe. Not just inconvenient… but threatening to who we believe we are.

So we keep going.
We overperform.
We stay useful, strong, and dependable — even when we’re exhausted.

Because somewhere inside is the fear:
If I’m not the one who can handle everything… will I still be valued?
If I’m not the strong one… will I still be loved?

That fear is deeply human. It often formed early, as a way to stay connected, safe, and accepted. But over time, it can quietly turn into an identity that no longer feels sustainable.

Healing from burnout isn’t about losing your ambition or capability.
It’s about learning that your worth was never meant to be earned through constant strength and usefulness.

You can be strong and human.
You can be capable and needing.
You can be reliable and allowed to rest.
Both / And.

That’s where true recovery begins.

“It’s selfish to change direction.”

An all-too-common limiting belief that keeps so many of my clients stuck in paths they’ve quietly outgrown — and a contributing factor to spiritual burnout.

But conscious realignment is not selfish.

It’s honest.
It’s courageous.
It’s how we stay true to ourselves and to others.
It’s how we show up in our greatest capacity. ✨

If this is something you’re currently struggling with, head to the link in my bio to read my latest article on The Slow Burn Brief, where I guide you through how to question this belief, reframe your mindset, and take empowered action toward conscious change.

To the changemakers —
I’m glad you didn’t give up when it got hard.
I’m glad you followed your heart.
I’m glad you let your mission be bigger than your fear.

If this is you, keep going.
Someone is grateful for you.

Loved being part of this 💘 girl’s night 💘 with the crew at the beautiful .758 last night.

It was full of my favourite things - community, art, guided meditations, tarot, snacks and chats.

Thanks to and all of the incredible women who made this such a fun and powerful night.
