Easter Sunday is quickly approaching!! Younger members of the family have a lot to look forward to as Easter Egg Hunts are on🐣

Simple steps can be taken to ensure participants are protected against potentially harmful situations:

1. Proper Hygiene & Care - Wash your hand with soap and warm water when handling edible or inedible eggs. Check the eggs for deformities and cracks. These can be evidence of dangerous bacteria within the egg. Lastly, Keep all eggs and candy properly stored before the event. Eggs that are left for more than 2 hours present a high risk of food-borne illness.

2. Hiding Places - Avoid hiding your eggs in areas where they might come in close contact to animals, insects or lawn chemicals. Also, be sure to mark off dangerous areas so children know there are no eggs hidden there.

3. Candy - Be sure to carefully select the candy that will be hidden to avoid any choking incidents.

4. Allergies - Some common allergies include milk, food colouring, eggs, and soy, as well. Check with the parents of any children who are joining your hunt for allergies that you should be aware of before the event.

5. Supervision - Keeping a watchful eye over the children as they search can be accomplished through a cooperative effort of staff and volunteers. The last thing anyone wants during Easter is a trip to the emergency room!

Happy Egg Hunting!🌸🐣🐇

No matter if you new to driving in the snow or if you are a seasoned driver it is important to remember these 5 winter driving tips:

2. Clear your car of ice or snow
3. Keep a safe following distance
4. Use extreme caution when driving in freezing rain
5. Plan ahead and give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination

Be cautious & use care on the roads this winter.

Happy New Year!!

Now that the busy holiday's have wrapped up and we have some time to sit down and reflect, it is the perfect time to set goals for 2022!

When starting to set your goals, try and think big! Think about your life as a whole - where it is now and where you want to be. From there you can narrow it down. These prompts can help you:

📝What can I do this year to bring me closer to my ideal life? In what ways can I start living that life right now?
📝When I picture myself in December next year, what do I see? What have I accomplished? What kind of person am I?
📝Now that I know what makes me happiest, what can I do to bring more of that into my life?

Let us know what your goals and ambitions are for 2022!!🎆💙

National Child Day is celebrated on November 20th each year in Canada🧒❤️

This day has been celebrated since 1993 to commemorate the United Nations adoption of the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of the Child on November 20, 1959 and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child on November 20, 1989.

This commitment includes the opportunity for children to have a voice, be protected from harm and be provided with their basic needs and every opportunity to reach their full potential.

Celebrating National Child Day is about celebrating children as active participants in their own lives and in communities, as active citizens who can and should meaningfully contribute to decision-making.
