Inner Wealth: The Heart's True Fortune

There was this soulful being of a girl who wasn’t rich financially because she dedicated most of her time to nurturing her inner light. One day, she met a wealthy man who was captivated by her and could offer her anything she desired materially. He even mentioned that she would be the perfect wife for him.

As they talked, she mostly listened while he spoke about himself and his life. He shared how he had worked hard all his life for financial gain, but what he truly longed for was peace and love. He confessed that he could never buy what the girl possessed and had worked so diligently to cultivate—her spiritual inner riches. He said, “I could buy anything, but I can’t buy what you have.”

Being around her, he felt at ease and happier, drawn to her light because she didn’t need anything from him. She was unlike any other girl he had met because she wasn’t seeking his money. He realized that while he had spent most of his life chasing money, what he truly needed was what this girl had worked so hard for—her inner light and her connection to God from within. She had a radiant light and a peaceful mind, never looking outside herself for happiness.

Inspired by her presence, the man decided to embark on his own journey of self-discovery. He took time away from his busy life to reflect on what truly mattered. He began meditating and seeking spiritual guidance, learning to appreciate the simple joys that money could never buy. As he immersed himself in this new way of living, he found a profound sense of peace and fulfillment.

Gradually, he transformed his life, focusing less on accumulating wealth and more on cultivating meaningful relationships and experiences. He started a foundation to help others in need, inspired by the girl’s selflessness and compassion. Through his efforts, he discovered that true wealth lies not in material possessions but in the connections we make and the love we share.

The girl’s inner light had sparked a change within him, leading him to a life rich in purpose and joy. In her company, he realized that he had found not only a kindred spirit but also a deeper understanding of himself. Together, they continued to inspire each other, creating a legacy of love and spiritual abundance.

The beauty in diversity by Noella Ji
There is beauty in diversity. The beauty of each culture has so many riches to offer the world.
Deep in a meditative mind. I was gazing through the valley seeing the mountains, hills, trees, and even snow of the highest of mountains. I could see God everywhere in each flower in passing. With Such grace and beauty. With each tree in passing clumped together as one family of trees. Looking out and seeing an abundance of beauty in each turn I made. Then I started to think. If we as many colourful cultures could see the beauty in one another as nature does when it stands in its glory. How the diversity of each passing flower, each tree, mountain all giving, all different but living in harmony.
