September is the month where we come together to raise awareness and challenge the stigma around dementia. This year's campaign, ‘Never too early, never too late’, focuses on risk factors and the crucial role of risk reduction in staving off, delaying or potentially even preventing Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.

*Exercising your mind daily can keep your brain stimulated and can delay the onset of dementia.

*Socialization improves mood, cognition, memory recall, and is associated with healthy behaviors, brain games and physical exercise.

** Balance between mind body and spirit is the key to a healthy life**

It's not just about staying physically active, although that's crucial for maintaining mobility and strength; it's also about nurturing mental and emotional well-being.

Finding time for relaxation, engaging in stimulating activities, and fostering strong social connections become essential components in elder years.

The key lies in achieving harmony between these facets of life, recognizing that each contributes to overall wellness.

By embracing this holistic approach, our loved ones can lead fulfilling lives where they not only juggle many things but do so with grace and vitality.

Come and talk with me about balance and well-being!
