Vulnerable share: I’ve been working with a specialist for a year to SAFELY taper off anxiety meds. I was unaware they affect your brain the same way alcohol does. 🧠🥃🤯
(I don’t drink at all)

Thank God I was on a very low dose and have a specialist. NEVER cold turkey off any medication!

I’ve had to dramatically reduce my exercise level as per medically instructed. I have been only able to walk and just now getting back into weight training. I have to be very conscious of my adrenaline levels.

Anyone who knows me, knows exercise has been my life, passion and fun! With the support of many loved ones, I have been listening and just allowing my body and brain to take it easy through this process. Thank you for everyone’s support through this! This too shall pass. ❤️

This is me from the last major event I got all dressed up for. People see this image of me and have their own assumptions, their own perceptions of who I am and how easy my life is.

Truth is…it takes a lot of effort to put together not only my outfit for an event, but my confidence to stand on my own.

I deal with anxiety a lot more than I would like. My close friends know this. I’ve done all the techniques and therapies to process anxiety and triggers. Techniques are helpful. God makes it even more helpful to process.

Anxiety is something I have learned to live with for many years. I know I’ll be stronger for it so I can help others/ my children learn to listen to their own body to heal.

I had a lot of anxiety on this day, no matter how put together I made myself, and I showed up anyway.

Keep showing up for yourself, for your kids. We can do hard things. ❤️
