Ever feel like you almost have it all figured out meal ideas, good intentions, a new fitness app or plan, but fall back into old habits when life gets busy?

You’re not alone, for so long that was me! I had all the best of intentions and "knew" what I should be doing to feel good, but I was somehow only managing to feel more discouraged, stressed out and ready to give up!

Sustainable change starts with having a plan made for you, paired with support when you need it. That's why I created my 3-Month Body Balance Plan. I want you to learn how to reset, nourish and thrive in your own body!

If you're ready to ditch the fad diets and health trends, send me message or drop an emoji in the comments below and let's chat!

You don’t need to spend hours in the kitchen to feel prepared for the week. Just follow this Simple 3-Part Formula:

1️⃣ Protein – pick one or two you enjoy (this week I did pork tenderloin, but chicken, salmon, or beans work too)

2️⃣ Carb/Base – something filling and versatile (quinoa, rice, roasted potatoes, pasta)

3️⃣ Veggies – choose ones you’ll actually eat (I went with a fresh salad, but roasted or raw cut-up veggies are just as great)

Put those 3 together in a few containers and you’ve got balanced meals ready to go.
Bonus tip: prep for 3-4 days, not 7! It keeps things fresher and way less overwhelming.

👉 Try it this week and let me know what combo you come up with!

Would you agree summer often feels a bit more relaxed when it comes to food and routines?

With patio dinners, road trip snacks, and ice cream outings, it’s enjoyable (and necessary!). However, by the end of August, I surprisingly find myself looking for a bit more structure.

That’s why September has always felt like a “mini New Year” to me. It’s the ideal moment to reset, refresh, and develop habits that will carry you through the fall without going to extremes. And honestly, I find it easier to build and stick with habits when the weathers still sunny.

Here are 3 simple ways to smoothly transition back into a routine right now:

1️⃣ Add one extra vegetable to your meals (yes, even at breakfast: toss some spinach into your eggs or smoothie)
2️⃣ Make water your primary choice between meals (you’ll be amazed at the energy boost it provides)
3️⃣Plan just three days of meals in advance to avoid last-minute scrambles midweek

If you’re READY for more personalized support and accountability, my 3 month program is NOW OPEN for fall sign-ups.

Together, we’ll create a sustainable routine that makes food feel simple, nourishing, and joyful once more. Say goodbye to the need for “starting over” every January.

👉 Send me a message if you’d like to chat about whether this is the right fit for you.

For me today, it looked like a little bit of everything. I started back at the gym this morning (thanks to for the push 🙌), we celebrated with pedicures after, I came home and made a quick and easy lunch. Now I'm getting some work done, before tidying a few things up, and ending my day with a Blue Jays game on TV and a walk with Buster.

Some days self-care is saying “no” and setting boundaries. Other days it’s nourishing your body, moving in ways that feel good, or doing something that brings a smile to your face.

At the end of the day, self-care is just showing up for yourself in whatever way you need. 💛

So tell me...... what’s your version of self-care right now?

These are keeping me feeling my best right now:

1️⃣ Drinking water before coffee
2️⃣ Moving my body before noon
3️⃣ Adding something fresh to every meal

Simple, doable, and no strict rules. Do these habits now while it's still "easy" with summer, makes them more built in and more automatic so as the seasons start changing they are just part of my regular routine.

What's one summer habit you're bringing with you to fall?

Hot days = zero desire to cook. Here’s how I’m keeping meals fresh, fast, and oven-free. 🌞

After a slower summer, I’m sliding back into my groove with the easiest kind of meals and with it being hot out I've had no desire to turn on the oven.

Lately that’s meant:
🥗 Bagged salad mix with rotisserie chicken (dressing in the bag… bless)
🥒 Cold plates with chickpea salad, nacho chips + cucumbers
🍑 Sliced peaches with Greek yogurt and a sprinkle of granola

No oven. No complicated recipes. Just quick, fresh, and colourful! Exactly what my brain and body want right now.

If you’re feeling like you need a little “reset” after summer, start small: pick one meal today and make it fresh + colourful.Your body (and your kitchen) will thank you.

What’s your go-to lazy summer meal?

Ever feel like you want to eat everything in your kitchen all at once? Salty, sweet, crunchy, comforting?

You’re not alone. You’re also not broken.

In my latest blog, I’m sharing what cravings are really trying to tell us, how to respond with compassion (not control), and what to eat that actually satisfies. 💛

I used to think feeling exhausted, moody, and totally out of it was just part of getting sober.
“This is recovery, right? Just push through.”

But the truth is… your body’s been through a lot. And it’s asking for support.
Cravings, sleep struggles, anxiety, low energy, that’s not weakness. It’s your body trying to recalibrate without the thing it used to rely on.

That’s why I created this workshop. Because no one really told me how food could actually help me feel better in recovery and I wish they had.

Ever catch yourself saying, “I’ll start fresh on Monday”?

I used to live in that mindset, especially when the weather changed or summer plans started filling up. I'd feel like I had to “make up for” a weekend of fun or food, and Monday became this big restart button.

But real life isn’t supposed to be something we’re constantly restarting.
And food isn’t a test you either pass or fail.

It took me a long time (and a lot of unlearning) to realize:
👉 It’s not about being perfect.
👉 It’s about being present.
👉 And learning how to take care of yourself without punishing yourself.

Now when I catch myself slipping into that all-or-nothing mindset, I pause. I breathe. I ask:
“What's the one small thing I can do right now to take care of myself?”

Not “what’s the cleanest choice” or “what should I do”… just what would actually support me in this moment.

That’s the shift that changed everything for me.

So if you’ve ever found yourself waiting for Monday to “be good again,” just know — you don’t need to. You can start right now. You’re allowed to take care of yourself in gentle ways every day.

What's something kind you can do for yourself today? 💐🌻🌞

⛱This time of year used to stress me out. I’d try to overhaul everything all at once, new routine, new diet, new “summer body” goals 🙃

It never stuck. And I always ended up feeling like I failed.

These days, I do things differently. I make one or two small shifts that feel good, and I let that be enough.

🧊 A little more water
🍓 Some fresh food I actually enjoy
🌞 More time outside
📱 Less time doom-scrolling before bed

Simple is sustainable. And honestly, there’s something really empowering about not starting from scratch every time the seasons change.

You don’t have to do it all. You just have to do something! 🌟

If you’re tired of starting over every summer… you’re in the right place.

Hi, I’m Dani a holistic nutritionist, sober woman, and someone who spent way too many summers believing I had to earn my way into a swimsuit.

I used to think healthy meant shrinking myself. That if I just had more willpower, fewer cravings, and a perfectly clean meal plan, then I’d finally feel good in my body.

SPOILER: it didn’t work.

What did? Learning how to actually listen to my body. Letting go of food rules. Finding the balance where I could feel good, eat what I love, and stop obsessing.

These days, I help women feel like themselves again through simple nutrition, gentle mindset shifts, and habits that actually fit into your real life.

With summer coming, there’s a lot of pressure to change how you look, but what if we focused on how you feel instead?

✨ I’ll be sharing more over the next month about how to make small, feel-good shifts to support your body and your mindset (without flipping your whole life upside down).

If you’re ready to do this differently, I’d love to be part of your journey.

Tell me in the comments what’s one thing about summer that feels hard for you when it comes to food, your body, or your routine?
