Make your very own custom mug at Chu Chu Chinatown!

Join me for this 2-day class where you'll learn how to prep clay slabs, make strong joints and decorate to your heart's content.

You'll also have the opportunity to make a lid or a spoon rest to go along with your set.

No previous experience required, super fun for beginners and all!

Beginner Wheel & Handbuilding with Chu Chu!

Join me this summer on Wednesday afternoons and start or continue your pottery journey with me!

Live your "Ghost" moment and join this beginner wheel throwing class where you'll learn great techniques to start making your own cups bowls and more!

There will be a focus on proper centering and wall building with pro tips for each individual's progression. Trimming and glazing will follow in later classes.

CHU CHU IS EXPANDING!

I'm so excited to announce that I've taken a space in Chinatown Vancouver and I'm expanding my small art business!

I'll have a retail store front featuring Asian and bipoc artists work and art supplies for sale.

I'm aiming to expand my community building art classes and accommodate more people! My aim is to part of the revitalization of Chinatown, I've already made friends with the chinese owned businesses beside me, they are very curious as to what I'm doing 🤣

Classes will still be hosted at the Pandora location so stay tuned for more updates.

For anyone that wants to lend a hand, feel free to message me as I'm happy to take volunteers to help renovate the new space!

Excitement and nervousness comes in waves, let the new adventure begin!

And now for something different! I don't make lidded vessels a lot but when I do I suppose I like this Pooh Bear honey pot shape! 🍯.

I'm treating myself to some Spectrum floating glazes lately and I suspected they would perform beautifully with some texture so I carved this guy to encourage some surface breaks.

I normally highly encourage all my students to use a test tile but I did not follow my own advice and didn't make one 😅

Now what to put in it?!?!

Ok students, I see you! Well this batch of student-made basketweave bowls sure turned out beautiful!

A super fun technique that can be extra creative depending on how you glaze em!
