We believe our employees are our strength. We are fortunate to have on our team, wonderful people who are compassionate, caring and highly professional. Everyone has a role, and ultimately their only goal is looking after our residents, ensuring their safety, and making sure they and their families feel confident in us. We know that moves are difficult for anyone, and more so for seniors, so it’s

important to make the process as simple as possible. There are many retirement homes for seniors, so we also know that in order to remain competitive our standards need to be high, and our prices reasonable. We’re looking to the future. We understand that we must continue developing new programs and innovations for a senior population that is growing and changing by the week. It’s an exciting time for seniors. The choices have never been better and the variety of services is constantly improving.

Reva Schick, who has since passed away, designed dolls for the Lee Middleton Doll Company.

For each design she received four Artist Proofs—she kept two and gave two to each son. Her daughters‑in‑law, who now have a sizable collection, offered some to our LTC program, and we gratefully accepted.

These weighted dolls closely resemble newborns, and the residents at Williams Lake Seniors Village will surely treasure them.

The Williams Lake Seniors Village team delivered "thank you" goodies to the ER nurses at Cariboo Memorial Hospital — Timbits buckets and adorable "you are awesome" gift bags packed with eye masks, lip balm, lotion, pens, notepads, scrunchies and keychains. Our team at Auburn and Waverly Seniors Village, along with our Resident Ambassadors at both Auburn and Waverly—both former nurses—made a special visit to Chilliwack General Hospital.

We brought treats to every unit as a small gesture of appreciation for the compassion, dedication, and hard work nurses give every day on behalf of Retirement Concepts.

The trip was especially touching for our ambassadors; they enjoyed sharing smiles and short anecdotes from their nursing days, many of which were spent at this very hospital.

A heartfelt thank you to nurses everywhere!

The Summerland Seniors Village team participated in the annual Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign, selling cookies at the Summerland Tim Hortons drive-thru to raise funds for the South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation. The centre supports families across the South Okanagan Similkameen, providing care during some of life’s most critical moments. With over 500 babies born at Penticton Regional Hospital last year, each cookie sale helps buy vital equipment and improvements that directly benefit mothers, newborns and families.
