You’re not “lazy.” You’re dysregulated.
Read that again.

The reason you can’t focus, can’t follow through, can’t “just push through” like everyone else?
It’s not a motivation issue.
It’s your nervous system.

Healing starts when you stop blaming yourself and start changing what you prioritize.

These are the priorities that rewire your life from the inside out.
Not overnight. Not perfectly. But deeply.

Most people think feeling off after flying is “just jet lag.”
But there’s more happening beneath the surface.

At altitude, your body is exposed to increased cosmic radiation, EMFs, and pressurized oxygen levels that impact your cells, especially your mitochondria—the energy engines of your body.

Add in dehydration, poor circulation, disrupted circadian rhythms, and the stress of travel itself, and it’s no wonder many people feel anxious, fatigued, puffy, or foggy after a flight.

These aren’t random symptoms.
They’re physiological responses from a system trying to regulate under pressure.

Supporting your nervous system and cellular health before and after a flight isn’t overdoing it—it’s smart, preventative care.

Because when your biology is supported, your mind feels clearer. Your mood steadies. Your body feels safe again.

If your body feels out of sync, but your mind says you’re “fine” — listen to your body.

Trauma doesn’t always show up as flashbacks or emotional breakdowns.
Sometimes it looks like chronic tension, exhaustion, a sensitive gut, or feeling “on edge” for no clear reason.

That’s because trauma impacts your nervous system, your hormones, your digestion — the foundation of how you feel and function.

These symptoms aren’t random.
And they’re not a sign that you’re doing something wrong.

They’re messages from a body that’s still trying to feel safe.

If you’ve been doing the inner work—therapy, breathwork, journaling—and your anxiety still isn’t shifting, you’re not alone.

What we often forget is that anxiety isn’t just emotional or cognitive.
It can also be biological.
Your brain depends on nutrients to regulate mood, stress, and energy.
And when key nutrients are low, it can start to feel like something is “off,” even when you’re doing everything “right.”

Magnesium, B12, vitamin D, iron… these aren’t magic fixes, but they are part of the puzzle.
Especially if your anxiety feels stubborn, confusing, or disconnected from your current circumstances.

Mental health is complex.
There’s room for both the mind and the body in healing.
And sometimes, getting curious about what’s happening underneath your symptoms is the most empowering thing you can do.

I had the pleasure of seeing Gabor Maté in Vancouver this week.

According to Gabor Maté, unresolved trauma and chronic stress can contribute to physical illnesses like autoimmune diseases, chronic pain, and digestive disorders. When we suppress emotions, our nervous system remains in a state of dysregulation, leading to long-term health consequences. Healing isn’t just about treating symptoms; it’s about addressing the emotional roots of illness. Our bodies keep the score of our emotional experiences.

Have you ever noticed tension in your shoulders, tightness in your jaw, or discomfort in your stomach during stressful times? Our bodies store emotions in different areas, often manifesting as physical discomfort.
•Throat
•Hips
•Shoulders & Neck
•Jaw
•Stomach & Gut
•Chest & Heart
•Lower Back
•Head
•Face

The body often communicates what the mind may not fully process. Recognizing these patterns is the first step to emotional release and healing.

Infrared saunas support both physical and mental well-being by reducing inflammation, promoting detoxification, boosting mood, and strengthening the immune system. When the body is inflamed or overloaded with toxins, it can lead to fatigue, stress, and even anxiety. By improving circulation and aiding in natural detoxification, infrared heat helps the body function more efficiently, which in turn supports mental clarity and emotional balance.

A boosted mood and stronger immune system are also closely linked to mental wellness. When the body feels good, energy levels rise, stress levels drop, and overall resilience improves. Prioritizing both physical and mental health creates balance, reduces daily stress, and enhances long-term well-being.

Practicing gratitude isn’t just a mindset shift—it physically changes your brain. Research shows that expressing gratitude can strengthen neural pathways, making positivity more accessible. Taking small steps like journaling, reflecting before bed, or reducing screen time can lower stress and anxiety, improve focus, and rewire your brain for resilience. Simply start by listing two things you’re grateful for each morning and see how your perspective shifts over time.

Finding work-life balance is essential for long-term well-being and productivity. Taking time off isn’t just a luxury, it’s a necessity for reducing stress, boosting creativity, and maintaining mental clarity. Vacations and regular breaks allow your brain to reset, helping you return to work feeling refreshed and more focused.

Prioritizing downtime doesn’t mean neglecting responsibilities; it means creating space for rest, connection, and personal growth. Whether it’s a weekend getaway, an extended vacation, or simply unplugging after work, making time for yourself leads to better performance and overall happiness.

Gratitude isn’t just a feelgood habit, it actively reshapes your brain. Regularly practising gratitude strengthens neural pathways, making it easier to focus on the positives in life. It also helps lower stress hormones and improves overall mental clarity.

Simple practices like digital fasting, journaling, and daily reflection can make a big difference over time. Try listing three things you’re grateful for each morning or taking five minutes before bed to reflect. Small, consistent actions can help rewire your brain for a calmer, more positive mindset.
