Today marked the final session of our Create-Ability Art Hive! A big thank you to everyone who has joined us over these 14 weeks as we explored our thoughts, practiced creativity, and connected around different themes. We’re grateful to Bronwyn and Amy for their hard work in facilitating these sessions, and for creating this accessible art therapy space for our community.πŸŽ¨πŸ–ŒοΈ

Here is an example of art created by Bronwyn for the Week 7 session. The topic the group explored was how to convey sense of belonging.

No matter your skill or ability, art is a powerful tool in self-expression, inspiring us to visually share our stories and care for ourselves. πŸ’›

Thank you all for your contributions and support with the Art Hive, and we encourage you to keep creating!

Thank you to everyone who registered and attended our documentary screening with Sandra Pronteau in November. While Indigenous Disability Awareness Month may be over, it is important that we reflect on what we have learned and keep these discussions going throughout the year.

Here are some words of wisdom from Sandra, on the importance of finding the strength to always stand up for what matters.
