There is no β€œright” food to start with but these are some of the things to remember when you are starting your baby out will solids!

1. Iron - No need to stress about your baby being deficient right at 6 months but you do want to start offering a consistent source of iron to replace their depleting stores.

2. Allergens - the most recent evidence shows that early and consistent introduction of high risk allergens reduces risk of food allergies.

3. Family Foods - You want your child to transition to the healthy, family foods that you are eating. To get them used to these flavours and textures introduce them early.
